I'm not sure I'd want an Elise as my only car. Lotus has never had a good reputation for build quality or reliability. Though the Toyota motor makes it more promising. It also doesn't appear it holds very much beyond 2 people and a single toothbrush. While that can be a good thing on a date, it's probably not good as a grocery getter. Then again, the 350z doesn't have much more luggage room either. I'm reserving judgement until I see my buddy's Elise when he gets it. (He has two other cars, so this would be his track/fun car)

after reading the specs again it appears that it will only be able to accomodate the toothbrush if it is the foldabe, travel size brush. ;)

whew. i was so afraid this thread was gonna be:ohh, i can make a 240 better than an elise for X dollars!

the elise rocks.plain and simple. and about the Z06 vs. elise comparison. i can comment: i have watched an elise (series 1 sport 160,) walk away from me driving an 02 Z06 in a long sweeping corner. The Z can pull 1g skidpad, and i was rolling on the 405 hp too. But the elise guy told me after we pulled off that he was foot-to-the-floor on that section. damn diggety! big power and big tires just dont compare to light weight and balance.i bow down to the elise. poor elise tho, had to wave bye-bye on the next straight. muwahahaha.-Enzo
