thats why companies like ford have to build cars like the GTR and the GT supercar... to distract you from how much their normal cars suck. I mean honestly, my friends are onto domestics and they buy brand new cars and they go back to the dealer 2 or 3 times to fix all the little niggles...And the ones that are into imports, everything seems to work pretty well from the dealer (cept one friend who got a 2002 civic EX lemon and he had nothing but problems so the dealer gave him a really good trade in on an si).Its not just something I've noticed, look at how they compare on reliability in any ratings magazine. Having said that, I have some respect for the mustang. Before they designed the new mustang they took concept cars to autocrosses and races all over the country to get peoples feedback. Magazines kept blasting the last mustang because it had a live axle and they said it rode rougher. Well, enthusiasts kept telling ford to keep the live axle, so it appears on the new model. It would be nice if more manufacturers would keep an ear to the enthusiasts scene like that. It doesn't seem that nissan really cares what enthusiasts want or they would replace the 240 with a sporty RWD coupe that was priced below the Z car. The Z is great, but its also expensive, and the rest of nissan's lineup are nice cars but nothing that gets me drooling.

BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA

Go compare the time an average Bimmer 7 series is in the garage compared to a ford focus, and be prepared for a shocker. American and European car makes are playing catchup, but the Japs still build the most reliable cars, period.

I think people put too much stock into where a car comes from and not the individual product qualities. Nobody makes a big deal that every Honda/Acura NSX is hand built, but when its a european car made the same way, its a real big issue. I just dont get it.
