2003 QX4 valve cover replacement part - aftermarket? Will any Nissan valve covers work?

I haven't been able to find any aftermarket replacement valve covers for my 2003 Infiniti QX4.

Are there any other Infiniti or Pathfinder models that use the same valve covers?

Any recommendations where to find this part other than the Infiniti dealership?

OEM valve covers are a pretty pricey fix, if it turns out the spark plug tube gasket is leaking and can't be replaced.

Welcome aboard... You have a VQ35DE engine, same as a Pathfinder.

Here's your gaskets: https://www.amazon.com/Fel-Pro-VS50608R ... B000Q0U7Q6
...and your spark plug tube seals: https://www.amazon.com/Nissan-13276-31U ... B00KWGCMJ4

I saw some discussion that the plug tube seals aren't serviceable, but I can't imagine why they wouldn't be (and there's a part number).

I looked at the Infiniti parts diagram and it doesn't show the spark plug tube gaskets. So I assume they are of the non-serviceable model.

Regarding the VQ35DE engine... does that mean *every* vehicle that has that engine uses *the same valve rocker cover*?

Thank you for the welcome. I have been on and off this site for years. :) Last problem was the sway of death or death wobble, now fixed. (and that was scary).

You can also go thru these guys: https://www.nissanpartsdeal.com/oem-nis ... l=&Filter=()
I might need the valve rocker cover, not just the gasket. Nissan has different part numbers from the Infiniti parts, so how can I know if I'm ordering a compatible valve cover?

Thank one more time.

Nothing came up for a valve cover for a 2003 Pathfinder. :(

Nope, different models use different rocker covers.

Apparently they're not serviceable - My mistake. Here's some more discussion that may be helpful: 2002-valve-cover-gasket-replacement-t597524.html

Definitely gonna do the threadlocker on the powervalve screws.
I purchased the gaskets for the job years ago and never got around to doing the threadlocker.
Now's the time, since I now have a leaking valve cover. :)

That valve cover is for the Infiniti QX4. Same part number. That price is within a few dollars ($199. vs $207.) of the discount price on the Infiniti website. I'd like to find and aftermaket valve cover at hopefully a better price. That's painful price to pay, just because the spark plug tube gaskets are not serviceable. :(

Yep, I caught that. Nothing aftermarket that I've seen, except for some janky Alibaba shat.

Honestly, I'd take them apart and inspect, and determine why they're supposedly not serviceable (when there's a part # for the tube seals).

Then again, I take stuff apart for fun (and to help people here fix their stuff). :)

I see on Amazon there are low price replacement valve covers for other Infiniti vehicles, but not the QX4. I wonder if any other models of infiniti have the same engine and same valve cover.

The VQ35DE was used in almost every Nissan and Infiniti for years. Same engine doesn't always mean same VC, unfortunately.

Here's a short video that shows closeup and detailed *why* they are not serviceable.
