I went for tire balancing and rotation and Infiniti tech told me that one of my wheels has a crack in it. I told him to use the full size spare in the trunk and put cracked wheel in the trunk. He just moved the wheel with tire from the trunk and installed it on the rear driver side. This tire has more tread than the other one (both are michellon mx4). Does it effect handling and comfort?

Sure, but how much more we don't know. Tread depth guages are cheap. Should be in every car.

I dont think that it will cause that much of an issue.

I bought the car recently (about a month). The crack might have been there before. I once went over a huge bump on a freeway while driving in MI.

That's probably a good move because while traction control will hide many things, a tire with 4/32nds of tread vs. 10/32nds will behave quite differently in the rain and under braking.
