2001 QX4 rear hatch/window NG

Anyone have any problems with their rear door window hatch??? Cant seem to get my window to pop open, checked fuses and everything seems fine there...Any info or advise would be greatly appreciated.

If I remember correctly, the key hole in the rear door turns two clicks each direction. I think the second click in one of those directions unlocks the window.

There's also a release on the driver's side door which is what I'm guessing he's referring to. You might want to try pulling the inside hatch cover off and lubricating the release mechanism. I'm guessing that silicone spray would be sufficient but if anyone has a recommended lubricant that would be awesome. Problem is that in order to remove the inside hatch cover you need to open the hatch window so see if you can do it with the key.

Yeah mine acts funny time to time I'm going to see about lubricating it.

Here's a topic of mine about lubricating locks & hinges. The owner's manual recommends lithium soap based multipurpose grease, and I used that in aerosol form. I oiled all hinges and locks as well as the ashtray hinge.

There's a release for the glass hatch on the driver door??? Is that only on the QX4?

Thanks for the replies...Ya I was referring to the pull switch on the driver door...I used to feel a "release" when pulling it, but now nothing...oddly enough i've never been able to open the back window using my key? the keyslot just hasn't ever worked...So now my dilema is removing the interior panel to access the lock mechanism to see whats going on, also gonna have to address the rear wiper as thats NG aslo...Has anyone removed the interior panel on the rear hatch without having the hatch window open? thanks again guys.
