2000 QX4 Tires

Hey y’all I’m new to the page, and I just finished fixing up my 2000 Infiniti QX4 Gold Edition that hasn’t worked for over 8 years. I’m sure I’ll be on this page a lot in the future as well because I plan to upgrade it periodically. I was wondering if 245/75/16 tires would fit with absolutely no modifications and all stock parts. And if so, does it rub at all? The factory tire size is 255/65/16. The only information I could find was this one guy who said he had this size tire on his 1999.5 QX4, but I have no idea what he meant by .5, and I just want to make sure before I make the investment. So the proposed tire will be narrower than stock, if only there was something 3/4 of a inch wide you could run around your existing tire to see what gap would be left..

The 245/75/16 tire will fit on the same wheel as the 255/65/16 but it is considered an oversize tire for the QX4 because it is 36mm larger in diameter even though it is also 10mm narrower in width. The larger OD will affect the accuracy of the speedometer and front wheel camber alignment, which is not adjustable on the '00 QX4. Therefore your handling characteristics will also be affected with a 245/75/16 tire. There is plenty of space between the fenders and the OD of the tires so it's not likely to be an issue of potential rubbing at all. What is your intention for selecting a tire other than the recommended 255/65/16?
FYI: The 1999.5 year model is one that was built midyear in 1999. Sometimes there are slight differences in same year models compared to the first ones built when that year model was originally released.
