just picked up another sub, amp and box for 75$.. the sub had a crack in it but i repaired that with some plastic epoxy, the amp that i got isnt pictured but its a pioneer 300 watt, right now i just have both the speakers hooked up to my autotek amp and they sound really good, nice and loud.. now i just need to figure out a way to keep my rear view mirror from tilting down from the vibration... lol

true, lol... i know someone is gonna tell me to get a one box set up. but let me tell ya, i like the 2 boxes because A) its easyer to take out for when i go to the track and such, and B) if one blows i can just remove it :)

eh.... half broken subs, and ghetto wiring

sorry if I’m being to critical I’m a perfectionist when it comes to audio....

this is what my system looks like:2-12”

RF power 551X amp for speakers

RF Punch 801S for subs (old pic: you can’t see the wires any more)

1 High quality 10" sounds better than 2 mid quality 12"ers for the same price. Not as loud but if your into sound quality its the only way to go. My freinds 10" eclipse sub is 500w (actual, not max), its enough to make your ears hurt but sounds crystal clear and tight.

it's all what makes ya happy... My bmw is sporting 3 12 shiva's. Adire audio seems to solve the problem with expense next time you in the market give em a try (needs lots of space to say the least).

Yeah, my brother has two 10" MTX Thunder 8000s and an MTX 700 watt amp... That **** hits really hard and sounds good. My setup sounds pretty damn good for what it cost, $200 for the amp, box, and 2 subs... New...

My wires are hidden until they come to the amp, I need to finish that and mount it somewhere. And the trunkspace in an S13 coupe is quite limited, I don't know if I could go over 10s in it, has anyone? My friend had 2 15's, but they wont even fit in the trunk without a box...

I hate my rearview mirror... it keeps tilting down, and I don't even play the music loud.

Sometimes I readjust it, but it falls down a minute later, so I've made a practice of bending my neck to get a good angle... I'll get it fixed someday... probably with a hanger, the solution to all of life's problems..

yeah they where originally in the 240 but the fact that i had no room and they where in a horridly cramped box means they had to be moved. Right now i'm looking for something for the 240, im thinking elemental.

Had one many moons ago, was thinking if I ever "upgraded" from the stock Bose I might go with them again?? Wasn't sure if they fell to the wayside as technology improved over the years.

MasterMan, like the Autotek. I had good luck with those years ago as well. Don't wait to long to "fix" things. It's easy to just let it go...

It does plenty fine for the old timer I've become, I'm years away from the big installs. I'd be hard pressed to replace all/enough of it and match the sound for less than $700 plus labor, but then I'd have a CD player.

I'd never pay retail for it, Bose that is.

I have a 12" JL Audio W3 D4 with Alpine 200x1 monoblock. Sure wish I woulda saved some money and bought a Alpine Type R. I love those things, but I question if my amp has enough juice for one of those.

yeah i really like the autotek amp, its one of the best amps in its price range IMO i think i payed 200 or 250$ for a 350watt, and its driving thos subs nicely, i might accully just sell the pioneer amp for like 40$ because it sounds good how it is now, maby some day ill buy some better subs and get another autotek amp.. i dunno.. my consern now is on my engine as i need a new one, and some other things to fix my car up, tho i do really want a new CD play for my car, one that will play MP3's and i can put p0rn on the face (the one that has color display, that would be sweet) or i might put a computer in my trunk and have a LCD screen up front and a wireless keyboard/mouse set up.. hmm all these idea..

nah, just just what i have experienced. I have one freind with 2 high output 12" subs that i would classify as low-mid price range, and another freind with 1 high output 10" expensive sub, one makes music sound good, the other just gives me headaches.

I agree with J-Spec that one good 10 out preforms 2 ok 12's. Thats why I only use JL audio stuff. It's the best I've come across.
