Here is my question. I'm ordering them from this website. http://www.importrp.com/ If you navigate to the axxis pads for the q45 they have two kinds for the front of the early 90's q45. here is what each say:

PBR/Axxis Metal Master90-2/94Set comes w/o sensorsFRONT Brake Pad Set

PBR/Axxis Metal Master3/94-96FRONT Brake Pad Set

which are th right ones for going on a 240sx?

I went to the munktard and they only had q45's with abs. So the master cyclinder has only 2 holes for brake lines. My master cyclinder has 3 lines for the brakes. WHat do i do?

i have the z brakes and wouldnt trade them for the world--fade is what causes you to pucker your *** up when you hit the brakes and they feel like they are going to stop, but wait--your not stopping as fast as you though--and that car ahead of you is coming up fast and slowing down as well. Its a sick feeling when you about rear end someone czuse you couldnt stop intime----the bigger the brakes, the longer they will hold the most brake tq. Smaller brakes heat up and lose braking torque the longer you stand on them. My z brakes will haul me down from 130 down to a dead stop and not even make me worry--over and over again. Go bigger--stock brakes suck ***! I went through the whole thing of going braided lines with good motul fuid and hawk pads on my stock brakes. then I upgraded tires on my stock wheels--avs es 100's--they would stop fine, but going 100 plus and hitting the brakes was like you might as well just say a prayer and hope for the best. I warped the stock rotors like 5 times and finally decided to get z brakes. I havent screwed up rotors once, and im on stock z 26mm ones. my fluid looks almost brand new after about 6 mos since the last change. Im assuming that since the brakes dont heat up as bad, that the fluid doesn break down as fast and stays clean and working the way it should.get the z brakes--you wont be dissapointed.

yes i did go ahead and upgrade may brakes. However i didn't get z brakes. For two reason one i would have to get new rims and two the calipers themselves cost alot more than q45 calipers. So basically it boils down to one reason. Short on cash:-) I did however do the q45 upgrade with dot5 fluid and ss lines. I bought pads and rotors from autozone again becouse of the cost. I will upghrade the pads when i get the money. For now i do believe they are more than enough for street driving. I can lock up my falken ziex 512's at about 25mph if i wanted. What my next question was is what can i do to stiffen the peddle alittle after the upgrade. I read somewhere that an automatic 240sx brakebooster would do the trick for q45 brakes if you want just a little bit more stiffness in the peddle. I found a q45 master cylinder at a junkyard but it was abs and would not work on my 240sx. Did an q45's come in non0abs or is there a way to mod the master cylinder to work on my non-abs 240?

Being a q45 is a luxury car and beast at that, i dont see them coming without abs. However, the pedal feel can be helped by ALOT of bleeding. If its really mooshy, then bleed bleed, and then bleed some more, It will take a while, but there is a method to bleeding. driver rear, passenger, rear, passeneger front, driver front. this goes is order from farthest tot eh MC to closest and prevents the air from getting moved back and forth in the lines. Also--you may be surprised how much better you pedal will fell after the bleeding--especailly with SS lines.Good luck.Also--to get a bigger MC--go with a non abs MC from a 300zx. Its a little big for your application though. There are two part numbers--one from something. and another from sothing(helpful huh?--lol) but one is wrong and has a port for abs which you dont need--the other is the correct one with no abs hole, and when you put it on, it will actually increase your pedal effort. This is used only when the pedal is a little too stiff when engaging the brakes. It helps to make the pedal a little more workable when you have big brakes like the z brakes.

you where right. I just bleed them again using your order and the pedal feels great. Just like stock but now the car stops on a dime. Thanx for everyones help in making this upgrade possible.
