1st time 1/4 mile times

man, congrats for gettin out to the track. the first (and only time so far) i went to the track, i had to go to this local redneck track, where there were 4 japanese cars and one cavilier, the rest being big muscle cars. the first run, i was so nervous, i mean sweatin bullets. the first run i did was against a civic which the guy seemed to think was pretty fast. when you get to the line, nothin else really seems to matter. you just go, and despite 3 leaky fuel injecotrs (which i did not know about at the time), i managed to get a 17.4! my only advice to you is to keep on pluggin, you'll have fun!

hey spec, where is the track that you are going to? i also live around philly and i think i am all stock in my 89 s13. on a side note, i got my first speeding ticket this morning (4:00am to be close to exact:D ) for going 28 over the speed limit. the po po said it took me 11.9 to go 1/4 mi. i dont think he got me from standing though. he got me at 72.9mi. on rt.100 in exton for all you eastern pennsylvanians:zap

my first time at the track on my civic, i ran 17.1 all day, and yes, it was a SOHC civic. I thought 240sx would run faster...like as fast as my DOHC civic...oh well, keep practicing I guess

yeah same here my first time at the track i got 16.58. Respectable but I kept getting low 16s after that. I believe I have mastered the clutch now. Took it out last friday to SAR netted 15.27. I swear it was perfect. Nonetheless I'm happy as far as completely stock goes. Ive got nothing, but I do take it to 60 at almost every stop sign and light, if i dont see any cops

Yeah the first time I ran I got a 17.6. Talk about lame, but after about 4 more runs I had it down to 15.9, nearly 2 seconds faster. it's all getting use to the conditions and when to shift. Next time you go out I'm sure you'll get a much better time.

Anzride, its my new 96 s14, i got it in january. I took out the back seat...wouldnt call that a mod, Im gonna put it back in tho, the back looks nasty, not that I use it anyway, but ladies, gotta impress the ladies:ylsuper I used to drive a bmw 535i ('88)...but the s14, It rocks my world even tho i took a hit in hp 182 (bmw) to 155, I sure feel it. but i dont give a fack, girls like me now...

What nights do you go to atco? I am going to make my way over there sometime. My cousin has been running his GSXR on sundays for point series bracket racing , he has been dialing in at 10.1 , I think i would be ****ting my pants at that speed.

I drive a stock 95 SE and I ran a [email protected]. You guys should be able to run these time sif I can, that was my first time at the track and I was pretty nervous. I dunno though, i've been told that I can drive pretty good and I seem to be able to get the best out of my car, flawless shifting, etc. Anyone in Canada??

I finished my rear end about two months ago and I have not been able to make it to the track:( I’m using a R200-V along with Nitto NT 450's 225-50-16 O and new rear brakes. My last ET was 15:60 at 89.65 with an open diff and bald tires. I think I can make it into the 14's I need to go try........... :thinker
