I had in a different topic that I was thinking about buying a 96 nissan 240SX SE from this guy who had been in a small wreck zerothread?id=410194

I decided on buying it and post pics of it to see if anyone thinks it was worth it or not. Like I said it runs and drives great the engine runs strong its an auto transmission which shifts smoothly and has no problems i'm wanting to do a manual swap though and swap ou the engine for and also repaint the car probably black. so let me know what you think thanks.

I wouldnt say the entire car was trashed there was no frame damage just the fender and the bumper got messed up and like I said they were replaced the hood is a brand new one and as for the air bags being deployed that was the only real major damage done. The car runs and drives perfectly even had a diagnostic ran and nothing is wrong with it even put in a brand new radiator.

what you should do...

unscrew the gas cap and screw a new car underneath it.

Looks like one of those cars that will nickle and dime you to death on those little expenses. As for the major stuff... doesnt seem too hateful

it needs a lot of work, but i think it was a good buy. i like how they cut the bumper for that extra exhaust plumbing.

Your 240 has potential. Swap the auto transmission to manual. Get yourself a new or used dash and clean her up. Is the chassis good; is it straight?

I think you probably could have lowered the price a bit, maybe to 7 or 8 hundred. How many miles are on the engine and trans?

on the engine there is a 160,000 miles on it not sure about the trans i'm planning on swapping it anyway. He had it for sale for 1500 originally and a bunch of people came by to see it but they all had families so the car was too small for them.

If it runs and theres no rust it was well worth it, minor body work is easy. Hell people have paid more than twice that for a car twice that bad.
