thank you for someone finally agreeing with megoldeneye9mm wrote:yeah some cars were obd2 in 93 it was only mandated by the government that all had to be in 96. my 95 (production year 94) zenki is in fact obd2. not obd2 ready. obd2. i promise i'm not a 16yo retard out to prove anyone wrong or myself right but i've used a scanner on my car.... an obd2 scanner. and i do happen to be employed by a service center and i've been a mechanic for some years now so really i'm sure of it. 95+ 240sx's are obd2. All them
damn dude took a while for you to get that.hpmachine wrote:So what this all boils down to is this:1) 1995 240's are obd2 compliant BUT...2) 1995 240's only have to have a sniffer test to pass emissions

Again, it doesn't matter. If your car is a 1995 240sx the DMV is gonna do the emissions test according to OBD1 standards. If it's a 1996, it's gonna be OBD2. No matter what color your plugs are, how many o2 sensors you have, what your build date is etc, etc. It goes by model year.simmode1 wrote:
