I have had this on goiong problem and i'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction. about a month ago i blew my alternator, no big deal right...yeah, i got the part two days later and installed it and try to start the car nothing.... now i'm not getting fuel so i investigate back and discover the fuel sending unit is shot so i replace that and the fuel pump well i'm at it. and once again try to start it...and low and behold...nothing, now i got no spark so i replaced my coil, distributor cap and rotor and tried it agin...this is where we are currently she wants to start you can hear it but i'm not getting any fuel to the filter now i've checked the lines for breaks, bends or cracks and the are all good is there a relay for the fuel pump or sending unit that i'm missing cause i've replaced the fuse twice for the pump just as a precautionary measure. why would i not be getting fuel?

can you hear the fuel pump come on for 5 seconds when you first turn key to ON position?

egi pump is fuel pump relay . egi relay is eccs relay. you might switch them to see if symptoms change.

I only have general knowledge. the ecm sends ground to the fuel pump relay when it wants fuel.

is there power at the fuel pump relay? the power comes from the igniton switch.

heres the thing, i tried switching the fuses no go, so i would love to check the fuel pump relay but i was told it is in the back of the hatch under the rear trim panel but all i got there is the tail lights and what appears to be a rlay or something for the rear wiper. so... if you could guide me to where is it i'd check it

third post in above thread. the two green relays are the egi and egi pump. you can switch them as they are the same.

Test to see if black-yellow wire going to fuel pump has 12 volts for 5 seconds after you turn key to on. one probe on wire one probe on ground. You are doing this test right at the fuel pump.

if not, pull fuel pump relay and test terminals. two of them should have 12v whenever the key is in on position. If 12volts is good everywhere then test to see if computer is sending ground to fuel pump relay for 5 seconds when is first turned on. one probe on one of the 12 volt terminals and one probe on the ground terminal. you can figure which relay terminal is which by trial and error. Dont allow a multimeter probe to touch two terminals simultaneously because that is a short.

I need to know how this turned out... Did you solve the problem? I have the exact same problem. We were adding fog lights and now my sons car won't start. The fuel pump isn't sending fuel.

I solve it!!! The schematic you offered really helped http://img522.imageshack.us/my...5.jpg With it I determined that power wasn't getting from the Fuel Pump relay to the Fuel Pump. The only thing between thoes is the SMJ (Super Massive Junction) of wires. It's located just left of the cluch pedal. Take off the plastic molding inside your car and you can see it. We tightned the brass nut on the top of it and that fixed it.

that is the craziest s*** i have read for awhile, install fogs and no fuel then tighten down junction box and it works?
