Pry the control panel off the drivers door and check the connections. If the connections are good on the door, check for power at the switch. If you have power there, the interruption is between the door and the seat or you have a bad switch. No power at the switch means a break in the circuit between the switch and the power source. There is a switch on the left side of the steering column that turns the automatic positioning off. I think it's marked CANCEL and if its ON, the automatic positioning is OFF.

I think he's saying the automatic positioning is working, but the "manual" positioning using the door switches for the seat is non-functional. If so, then I guess the correct question would be has the door switch failed or not?

Then again, maybe not.
