Probably the heater core hose or the turbo coolent line, both are on the back of the head / block. Find a kid or girl with small hands to help you, it's not fun fixing those things......

you may want to check the freeze plug. There is one located right at the back of the head. I had one pop out after the engine overheated and it took me for ever to figure this out..

back of the head? like between the firewall and motor? There is a coolant line that runs to your turbo from there. Mine was leaking. I had to pull the motor to replace the hose.

there is not a turbo on this engine, it must be a freeze plug. how do you get to that. after i stop the car you can hear water boiling but the gauge shows normal and it doesn't seem like its running hot.

I checked heater hoses there not runing behind the engine, it's a 4 cyl. has anyone pulled the head on one of these 2.4 and is there a freeze plug on the back side of the head? I can feel it driping above the head gasket.

zer...47218#http://forums.nicoclub.com/zer...8#Yes there are 2 freeze plugs right on the back of the head. Its all most impossible to get to them but if you can get the leaking one out you can replace it with a rubber adjustable one.

i think he has a KA, not an SR.

since you dont have a pressure tester for the cooling system, just insert a garden hose into the radiator, hold it tight, and blast water through it. besides the radiator fill hole, you'll see water gushing through other leaks in the system.
