1990 240sx bad injector?

So I know I posted here not too long ago but figured this might be something unexpected so I'd repost. zerothread?id=185130 If you wanna check otu what it was doing, but basically it was sputtering and stalling, etc... Well, after fiddling around with it yesterday, I started pushing the injectors, one by one, and the last one, at the very back of the engine, when I touched the injector the whole engine studdered... So I checked the spark plugs first, they're all fine, so could it be just that one injector is bad? Or is there something else I should check first? I wanna buy a set of injectors but wanna know if that's likely the problem, or something else?

It looks like you've found your problem with that bad injector. You may have a bad harness connector.

bad harness connector you say? how would I go about fixing that? sounds like it could be a cheap/easy fix, no?

The injector harness connector should fit tight and lock in. In you case, when you wiggle the harness connector, the motor starts to run rough. Make sure that the connector is not broken and that there's no oxidation on the pins.

If the connector is broken, you can just replace it by splicing in another one. However if the injector itself is defective, you have no choice but to replace it.

harness it was! she runs like a dream except when i first start her cold, she idles a lil low but doesn't give that dead cylinder feel lol i'm sure in time the ECU will correct itself or something... i hope? hehe thanks a lot!

Hey, I've been having this same problem with my '89 240. Where can I get a new harness for my injectors? I checked with one of the shops in town and they didn't have them in their system. Also, are they universal or do I need one specifically for my car?

Probably your best bet is to get one out of a junk yard.
