I have a '90 240sx with a relatively stock SOHC KA, just intake and electric fans to the engine really... and it was running odd for the longest time but we had seemed to narrow it down to the wiring of the electric fans being on all the time, so we got a sensor for them to kick in at the right temp etc... but after that, a new load of problems arose... the brake calipers one by one have been seizing, but at 184K miles i'm not really surprised, however I wouldn't think that would affect the engine running, unless its the brake booster?Anyway, on to the rest... I haven't been driving it lately do to it idling very strange... one night a while back it let me sit and you could smell fuel in the line, so my friend suggested fuel pressure regulator... i changed that, and it seemed to run fine except it idled at around 600rpm instead of the usual 700 until it warmed up... odd, but i could deal... the only other strange part was the e-brake light stayed on all the time, yet the fluid was full and e-brake sensor seemed fine... before too long i noticed the light would turn off occasionally but only at certain points on throttle, and would make a buzzing noise... this happened last year and turned out to be the alternator, so its a brand new one on there... we replaced the battery, still not fixed... I noticed until the car is warmed up relatively, it sputters as you try to rev up and down... and once you let off throttle it all but dies out then idles at 5-600rpms and you can hear something lightly rattling, kinda sounds like something heavy tho... all of this was ok, i wa sjust gonna take it to the dealership once i got some money, but i checked up on it today yet and now i found a slight build up of coolant at the top of the radiator, yet when the car runs I don't see it noticeably leaking anywhere, and only a small puddle on the ground from it, so it must be fairly recent... just wondering if anyone has some tips for me before i do attempt to take it to the dealership or something... sorry for this being so lengthy, just wanna explain as much as possible... thanks!

start by checking your MAF. make sure the connection is tight.

i just checked it this afternoon after posting, i unhooked the lil plastic clip attached to it and started the car, same thing as before, clipped it while running and didn't seem to notice anything change... but i did the same to the TPS and nothing either... am i perhaps unhooking the wrong piece?

so, upon checking and completely cleaning the MAF, I discovered a few things:MAF seems fine, upon further pulling of sensors the car did seem to jump a bit when i pulled the MAF while the car was running, but the major place I noticed was the TPS, which almost stalled it when I pulled that, so that seems fine... However! I stumbled upon something that would have taken me a while to figure out otherwise... I randomly was tugging at wires, etc while the car was running, and pulled on the injectors... all seemed to do nothing except the very far back one, the engine jumped down a bit when i tugged it, so i turned the engine off, fiddled with it a lil to find the injector is LOOSE! it pivots around the hole and the others just firmly stay in place... any ideas why this would be? only thing I can think is, if they are screw in or something of the sort, when the mechanic changed my fuel pressure regulator, he must have dismantled the fuel rail and possibly moved the injector or something. Any ideas for a next step, aside form confront the mechanic, who wasn't in when I went over today, so I gotta check back later.
