umm... yea, quit it with the caps lock. home depot should do it... unless you wanna ebay it, should be ok. just becareful with who you buy it from. ive seen some horror stories with fitment issues, but all in all, you should be able to make it fit.

he said affordable and 90 for a friggin 45* bend you sir are a scammer, trying to get full price for half the parts and used STFU!! Let us have a poll and see just how many have home depot or have had home depot intakes. I would put a home depot intake up against most top off the line products. Just get a good filter to top it off. I looked at all the pricey intakes and realized they were on GOOD pipe dreams to sell for those prices, I got an egay intake and custom cut it for a short ram and am sure it is better than your 90$ piece of pipe. HAHA! good luck selling that. Sorry bout that adrian.

nvrplzd yeah man it was off egay for the de motor, like 3 years ago. I dont think they even sold one for the e motor back then on ebay. I didnt care, and still dont. I know my setup will flow more than his injen. Any pop charger will flow more air and gain horse power, but my hacked maf one 45* bend setup will put out the same or more.

I cut this several times and finally with the last cut it was like my dream came to reality. The power increase was more than with the whole charge being carried over the radiator and upper hose. Plus with the maf this close to the engine the metered air is more accurate than way over by the exhaust(driver side).

I swear I read on here before that the factory intake flows alright with the removal of the resonator....any truth to that?

When you say to get a bigger box, are you talking about a specific one from another vehicle?

just measure your stock box or you can be lazy and eyeball it. Another route would be to take your air filter in the junk yard with you, and get a box that is bigger and has a larger filter slot. IIRC probably dont so, anyways a taurus or crown vic and the vic box is pretty big and the bottom side is gutted from factory (ram style) snorkle that draws air from in front of the rad. btw the stock box is decent to mod just not big as the engine could use. It flows with the stock paper filter just enough air. But anything to help the engine breath easier is an improvement. Another secret I will let out is mod the factory air box that is in the fenderwell, under the stock filter box. Cut it out with a dremel or something so that it acts like a scoop to put cooler air into the filter box.

No, you dont always get what you pay for. A pipe is a friggin pipe. I can only say that you can pay 105 for a pipe all day sucka. aznx that plug is the intake air temp sensor, no dont just unplug that run it to where you put the new cone filter,so that it can read close to the actual intake air temp. Got it?

I recently just drilled a hole into my original stock pipe just behind the maf. I thought there might be a problem since it was now being read after the maf but I haven't had a problem in 2 weeks. it get a true reading.

scruffy are you saying you drilled a hole after the maf that is not hooked up to vac or anything. If so plug that right now! I bet your car is running hella lean. Feel alot stronger as of late? If so its bc unmetered air is coming in.

well yes there is a hole after the maf but no extra air is gettin in its. screwed into the pipe. nice and tight. I guess if I ever have a problem I could always put a little gasket maker on it.
