Overview: This Tutorial will help guide to do your own wheel alignment.

Difficulty:3

Time: 1 - 2 hrs

Costs: n/a

Materials:n/s

Tools:a couple of open end wrenches

Procedure:

I find that you can measure toe and cam quite easily. The following link explains the procedure for measuring cam and toe:

Measuring cam on stock 1991 alloy wheels:

the rim bulges in the middle so you have to take a 2 inch block on your leveland calculate gap minus the block width. The gap is indicated by red arrow which is about .75 inches and the rim is about 17 inches

Formula:

inverse tan(.75 inches/17inches)=degrees camberCalulating inverse tan

Click for Online Calculator

you can get inverse tan with the above calculator

1.enter .75/17 inches2shift key3.tan key

so i have a camber of 2.5 degrees.

Or paste this into google search and google will give you the answer:

atan(0.75/17) to degrees

Adjusting camber/toe

Rear

Front( tie rod end nut is 19 mm. the nut to remove tie rod end. not the castle nut.

Only the toe can be adjusted. The camber however will change as toe is change. You change toe by adjusting tie rod length.

ball joint nut is torqued 22-36 lbs

L=174.8 mm or 6.88 inches from factory. both side have to have the same L after adjustment.
