Not sure, but it was ambitious to be sure. I've learned alot more since replying in this thread over a year and a half ago... I've learned that it's really nearly impossible to say whether his idea will work without knowing what coilovers he has & just doing whatever it takes to make it work.

I recently fell in love with XXR's new wheel, the 526's. I plan to run the 17x10+20 up fronts and 18x10.5+20 in back. Now, if you look around, some ppl have luck clearing that kind of sizing up front and some don't... due mostly to the coilover bracket design.

The only coilover that I know to come up with a solution to this are the Megan Street/Track coilovers. You can buy an an optional extended bracket which will give you 25mm of more backspace between the back of your wheel and your actual coilover.

Only thing I gotta figure out now is how bad a 245/40 on a 17x10+20 is gonna rub the inner fender up front. It's my dream to run 245 tires up front and 265 rears under stock fenders and make it look good... lol! But I think that Megan extended bracket would solve alot of ppl's problem as long as they had Megan coils.

ah yeah thats pretty cool..i got cx racing coils so they probably wouldnt..
but i did find a guy running this exact setup but now i just need to find out what size spacer/camber he runs up front

i was checking out those xxrs out and drooling over them but i already know 2-3 ppl getting them
so the mustang rep idea sounded pretty decent for the price/size --729 shipped

It say it right in the link you posted. Did you not read the thread? lol

He has the 17x10.5+27's with 5mm spacers up front. -5 camber in the front and -3 in the rear. His spacers give him effectively 17x10.5+22 and they apparently still clear his coilovers.

I need to know what coilovers those are. Nismobenzo, do you have a CaniBeat account? Can you ask him what coilovers those are?

oh yeah it does huh :gapteeth:
but yeah ill ask him no prob

i dont think id ever wana run that much front camber..im getting extened studs and maybe a 15-20mm spacer with -2ish camber....+12 and more of a natural camber sounds legit to me---should be crazy with the right tire/pull

Yo, Benzo... enable your profile to recieve PM's...

Yeah, that guy's camber is waaaay more than I'd want to run. I hear the s14 LCA's on an s13 push the hub out about 10mm. So if he was still on S13 LCA's, he need to run about 17x10.5+12 to clear his coils, which makes sense... Pretty much just like that primer coupe on RPF1's posted above.

lol i fixed it..weird! i never knew i had that 'off'

but yeah i already ordered 50mm extended studs to fit the spacer
-first im going to test fit them on a friends car with 5 lug but a 15mm(making the offset 12)should be great until i decide to upgrade my front breaks but then ill still be able to run a 20mm spacer because of my extended lugs id think
i dont think chrome really suits a stock body/paint car so im guna go for the darker polished ones

PLUS they are only $581 shipped for them! wtffff! sick

also this guys setup like the one u posted before shows how easily this fitment is pulled off in the front

18x10.5+15 with a 20mm widebody..so basically just a 1" pull ha

Yeah, seems like all you need is some 15mm spacers and 1 inch pull all around. Maybe -2.5 camber and 235/40's on all four and you might be able to keep your stock fenders... Hmmm. Ambitious. And probably not gonna be as easy as it sounds... lol

nah not easy at all..my friend says it wont fit but he has widebody and small wheels hehe(17x8/9)
i already have 50mm extended studs but considered making custom extended coilover brackets but thats alot of extra work.
either way--im pretty sure were not idiots-we can do math and compare others previous efforts as references
according to my research my fitment should look almost exactly like this all said and done
Image

he has 10.5 front and 11.5 rears with no spacers but he has widebody obviously...
and i was hoping i could find a 35 sidewall for optimum fitment allowance
