Where did you get the clear side parker lights? I have a 2000 I30t Sport, that looks just like yours (or will, when I get the I35 grille installed)

I hate copy cats, that is why I special ordered black leather interior seats.

Thanks!

On a lighter car, a recall probably wouldnt be neccassary as the strenght reserves can be less.

I was briefly the high bidder on that auction yesterday. Wanted them for my '90 Q. Is the best policy at this point just to avoid these "Touring" wheels for a Q45 application?

While I admit I dont know the exact cause of this recall, i think its important to keep in mind how much more stringent OEM wheel requirements are than aftermarket.(As Q45tech as so often pointed out)And a japanese luxury brand like Infiniti, will have in-house standards which are likely even higher.

If a wheel is recalled, it didnt meet that spec, but I have the feeling, it still would have met/exceeded the spec for aftermarket wheels or maybe even OEM from lesser manufacturers.

In summary those recalled OEM wheels are probably still a better, possibly even safer, choice than the vast majority of aftermarket wheels.

This, just to put things in perspective...

Or, in other words, buy the darn things.

They're among the most desireable wheels for retrofitting to early Q's, and like the seller said, they're from an I30.

Even if they weren't, you could theoretically then take them to a dealer and have them exchanged (which was MY evil plan until Brian "outed" me...):D

Wasn't it some potential flaw in the casting process that raised Nissan's concern about these wheels being used on a car as heavy as the Q45? I bet they are used interchangeably on the I30, and that a dealer will replace any he sees on a Q45.__________________Brian1995 Q45 & Q45t

Geoff,

Do you know what the prices are on those two links? I cannot get either to load. The 18s on the first are $310 through the home page though - not any cheaper than the set I found for $1020.

Thanks
