Hello,

This truly post feels like a microcosm of what stands to tear our Nation apart. I honestly do not remember an election with this level of vitriol. Living in Florida, the number of election commercials is galling. Both sides of this debate feel infected by weekly talking points.

I volunteered for McCain in 2000 and have contributed to his current campaign as well. I find him to be an extraordinary man. The sacrifices he has made are unfathomable to me. I find him quite humorous as well. 2000 campaign especially. I also appreciate how well he works with the Dem's to advance legislation.

The selection of Palin reeked of calculation. A gesture to appease the moral conservative wing of the GOP. While undeniably telegenic, her background and education do not seem Presidential to me. I do find it absurd to hammer her on what clothes GOP staff choose to purchase for her and her family. With the myriad issues that require urgent attention, the campaigns (Obama) are steering the discourse towards Palin wearing clothes from Neiman Marcus and Saks. Absurd.

Over the past few months, I have been amazed at just how angry each side is. The Dem's I know are on the warpath. Hell befall anyone who tries to defends McCain. Many Republicans I know are genuinely scared of an Obama Presidency. Like Mayan calender the World is ending doom and gloom. The fear is often mutating into hate. I really hope when this election we can all go back to being Americans regardless of party affiliation.Cheers,Mark

I dont know how familiar anyone is with the governor of massachusetts but he initally spent over tens of thousands of dollars of the citizens of our state just on stupid helicopter rides that were unnecessary. And he was a democrat. face it both parties do make this rash decisions. to err is human after all.

Hope you stick around, if only to pull us down off the ledge on occasion.

I'm not going to quote that whole image again, but Matt, that was HYSTERICAL.

A very funny and admittedly true point indeed.

In all seriousness, I do appreciate the well-wishes, and contrary to what many may perceive, I take none of this personally.
