Hey guys, I went to the track yesterday and was running at 16psi, I couldnt better a 12.44 until on my (what i thought) 2nd to last run I droped the pressure in my tires down to 18 psi and it finally hooked up off the line, well enough to get an 1.85 60ft and that was bogging it! I went back for another run with the idea of better it and going faster with a better launch, and someone left oil down the track so I was done. Oh well, I need to buy a new boost controller anyways, Ill be going back to the track on September 21st, if not before, looking for 11's. This time was done in hot weather as well, with some cooler temps and a good hookup, I should be real close to the 11's, which will pretty much end me for the year as I need to get a Jacket, roll bar, harness and seat this winter, as well as getting myself setup for some slicks.

Lets see here... 12.23, doesnt that make me the 3rd fastest street driven KA? Duy would be #1 at 10.83, Jay second at 11.92 and then me at 12.2 right?

Sweet! You just keep getting better. Did you get those subframe spacers? Don't you basically still have stock suspension, besides the LSD?

Yes, I havent done any work on the suspension except my springs, and there is a phantom grip in the diff, along with drag radials.

that's incredible. 1.85 60's are awesome. I was hitting 2.24's in my stock ka24e, 1.85 is unreal. Great times as well.

Those are badass times man, you could kill basically any car on the street. Glad to see everything up and running well, you'll make it into the 11s no prob. That was only 16 psi? How high can you up the boost on your setup? now you gotta update your best time on your site:D . Random question also, what kind of gas mileage do you get?

Yeah, Ive got some big plans for this winter for my car, mainly roll bar/cage, seats, harnesses, LSD, Slicks, and start messing with the suspension, I am determined to have the fastest street driven KA w/o Nitrous.

Thanks for the compliment guys.

also to add to the list i think Jeff @ CIP motorsports(boosteds14) hit the 11's with his turbo ka24de and so did Marty King's former turbo KA(Level 10 modified auto transmission).I think they both got like 11.9's.

I wasnt very much concerned with the r/t, I was working on getting the car off the line, without making a turn on me. Anyways, the car in the right lane was about a 68 camaro with a massaive tunnel ram, big huge slicks, and way too many cylinders. You know it really is great, I drive my car up there, all 4 cylinders of it, I race these guys in the pro category, beating some of them (SOME) and then as I drive home, with my 12.2 dial-in written on my window, I usually pass them with their car on their trailer. Not to mention some of the compliment I get and look I get from people :)

Great website. I especially like the 12.8 video. Your car sounds mean as all he**! I love the way it squats going into second. Are you still running stock cams and ignition?

I thought you already had an LSD..?

Anyways, yea. I wouldn't doubt it if some Mickey Thompsons could put you in the low 11's alone.

what is this phantom grip anyways?

Phanton grip is a half assed LSD, its two hardened steel blocks with springs at each corner between them that wedge in between your spider gears and attempt to hold them together, while it only works good while your moving or launching, burnouts are a *****.

Sam: If you think it sounded mean then, you should hear it at 17psi-ish, and with the 2-step on at the line. Stock cams and stock ignition, although ill probably be going to some diff. valves, cams, and coil-packs this winter, I will see 10's next year and give super street, and the other import mags something to talk about as far as KA's go.

10's? No problem, just a bit more boost, traction and weight reduction, give those SR's something to talk about :)

Hate to keep hitting you with these questions, but what are you using in the way of the cooling system? Aftermarket rad, fan etc.?

Sam: No its cool, if you have a bunch of questions you can call me. I am running the stock radiator, with a jumpered radiator fan (always on when key is ON) and the stock clutch fan, no shroud....only time it gets hot is when I am run it hard in heat, which its been really hot here lately (mid-high 90's). When I raced last friday it was 92 and it was running way warm at the end of the track. One of the ways I get it to run cooler is I have taken out my grill between the hood and bumper, which makes a difference. Anyways, Fluidyne and 2 electric fans this summer.

please do not call and tell super street or other import mags about your car, they have already destroyed 240s, that would make it so much worse.... It is true, 240s are the next civic hatch b/c of those import mags.

... Also, to be the fastest street driven ka, wont you have to change turbos?
