There will be gasoline availible for the next 200 years at least, its just it will be so expensive it wont be practical for daily transportation. I really dont care, as long as I can get some 106 for weekends every once and a while my life will continue just fine. You guys are talking about this like its the end of the world or something.

Eh, most people don't like change, and the fact that we're running out of oil makes for a huge change.

LOL! Propaganda? Serious technical studies are slanted? The last one was motivated by the eternal greed factor.

I welcome your research that points to a contrary view.

Face facts, bub, the cheap stuff is gone. I just read that they're drilling down to a total depth of over 21,000 feet in Nova Scotia in 6000 feet of water.

Cheap food depends heavily on cheap oil. Fertilizers, pesticides, insecticides and transporation of foodstuffs all depend upon cheap energy. Tires, plastic and medicine all depend on cheap oil. The cheap stuff is gone. Please prove me wrong.

What proof have you brought to the conversation but slanted articles?

I'm not going to debate something that has been debated since the uses of Oil were first discovered...

And like I said, you are so worried about it than do your part and try to not be too dependant on Oil

blabbing on and on and on and on about the evils of OIL on a performance CAR forum is pretty pointless IMO

Oil isnt just aboiut cars. Its about everything.

I agree we will have gas for along time it will just be a lot more expensive.

These articles are no more slanted than Saudi Arabia's "Reserve Reports".

They dwell on negatives but make good points.

Fred...:)

I've brought plenty of info for the members to ponder. I don't want to seem argumentative but what have you brought? I welcome evidence that runs contrary to the findings and data I have furnished. The sad fact of the matter is that it's very hard to find anything that says otherwise.

Quote »And like I said, you are so worried about it than do your part and try to not be too dependant on Oil[/quote]The point I have been trying to make is that civilization as we know it was created and is run on cheap and plentiful hydrocarbons. We're all in this together.

I don't think I ever said oil is evil and since we all run our beauties on oil, this is a perfect place to discuss the major operating cost input of any automobile. Think about it. We burn gas for motive power, use oil for lubrication, our tires are made from petroleum, all the plastics in our cars are derived from hydrocarbons and the very steel that constitutes our vehicles is created by burning incredible amounts of fossil fuels.

The cheap stuff is all gone.
