Estimate this for me..

2003 G35 Coupe 6mt - Stock is 14.2 @ 101 with a 0-60 of 5.7 - 6 Seconds (Tested by Car & Driver)

My setup is as follows:

Tein S-Tech SpringsBlox 5/8th Intake SpacerZ-TubeGrounding KitEngine Damper

18x8.5 245/40/18 Front18x9.5 275/40/18 Rear

No spare tire and 40 LBS of net front seat weight removed. (replaced with a lightweight R34 GTR seat)

Times would be at 10ft above sea level (Florida) and 70 degrees temp.

Mid 13s ? 0-60 in 5.5?

take a swing at it. I'm thinking of taking it to the track to find out for sure.

taking a guess but closer to 14 flat than 13.5. Shaving a half second is pretty hard...

You could take out the rear seat for the night...that's got to be a little bit of fat.

ok ill tell you now but on a sedan. Its been tested on a track.03 sedanMotordyne plenum spacermotordyne lower plenum (MREV2)Stillen airboxstillen z tubeunothodox pulleysborla catback exhaust

The run was before i put on the pulleysso 0-60 it ran 5. ( i made couple of runs and it was 4.8 once, the other time it was 5.1 so i rounded that off to 5 flat)and 1/4 mile was 13.8 @106mph

WhiteyClay,FYI, I put an electric fan in my car and noticed a bigger difference then with the under drive pulleys. It is a great upgrade!!!

faster warm up, better cooling, runs quieter when it hasn't kicked in but most of all MORE POWER. I believe the only G that came with a mechanical fan was the 03 auto sedan. For everyone else, the electric fan should be standard. The mechanical fan has a clutching mechanism that is VERY heavy. I will try to remember to take a pic when I get home. I noticed a bigger increase in power from this then any other mod that I have done (coupe mid-pipe, intake, plenum spacer, UD pulleys...). If you have a mechanical fan, get rid of it!

This is the first i have heard of this. Do you have a site where we can order an electric fan?

Because only the 03 sedan auto has it, I don't think it is a common upgrade. I have seen stock G35 fans on e-bay, then you need a relay and thermostat combo (also on e-bay or from a fan manufacturer). Some fan companies make all in one units too. I just bought a flex-a-lite fan and separate controller on e-bay. Let me know if you are interested and I can try to find some more information for you.

I'm wondering how the springs will affect your drag time. I was told that squishy springs reduce peeling out.

Probably not as much as on other cars as I assume the G will have semi-stiff springs anyway. On my Maxima, adding Eibachs put me a good .2 seconds faster than other stock Maximas. Of course, being FWD it may be more of a difference as well.

Thats roughly 5 pounds of rotating mass!!! That doesn't include the air resistance on the fan blades...

I have an o4... It is possible that it was manufactured in 03?? correct????

I will be getting one of these if so, and the damper as kenrick has recommended...

So,... to clarify, what is the cost of the conversion???

Actually if you want to go a little cheaper route i am pretty sure you can hook the electric fan to a switch and just have the switch in your cabin somewhere. Save you time and about $40-$60

so.... what do you do, keep an eye on the thermostat, and switch it on when needed?

Confused, but willing to learn...
