Hey people im new on the forum... but i have been entering here for a while now...

i have what i think a big problem with my V (well over here is a Tiida)...i was racing with a civic, winning btw like by 1 car ahead... but i wanted to humilliate him so i was supposedly trying to shift from 3rd to 4th gear... i dont know what the heck happened i ended at 2nd gear and F**ked up 1 valve... now they're saying at the dealership that they dont cover that damage under warranty, and fix that problem will take 13hundred out of my pocket...

i think i have just 2 options...pay this guys to repair the engine... or....does anybody knows where i can buy a MR18 engine and ship it to FL???

its a 98 Civic EX coupe just with CAI, catback exhaust and clutchi think its D16 engine

hahahah i did that but i was just trying to pass an idiot lol. but mine is gonna be covered cuz i have heard a frickin nasty noise from the head from day 1 and i didnt tell them i miss shifted. Any ways they say a rocker is bad in the motor =[

Yeah if I was you I most definatly wouldn't of told the dealership that you mis shifted. I would of told them that it just happened and you have been hearing noises for awhile and your about to get them checked out but them BOOM, this happened. lol

Well first thanks for the responses...2nd i never told them i miss shifted... they found that out... i was over there yesterday... they say that they will cover part of the cost since its a new car... just 3 months on it!and well i guess next time i will need to stay parked or buy a 350Z like somebody said somewhere

I live in Panama (central America) they where selling at the beginning the Tiida version 1.8... but the one that i have is the 1.6 (HR16DE)and so was the civic... EX are 1.6L (D16Y6)

that sux bro...i had that happen one time...i missed a shift when i first got mine...yeah i totaled the engine, but nissan replaced the engine and shifter cables for free....note: i didnt tell then exactly what i did...lol....I love racing mine though, it catches people off guard...sorry i dont know the exact specs but i have out ran a hath civic, a s-10 with a performance chip, a zx3 focus. stuck door to door with a 5.0 Mustang and a V6 Tiburon, im proud of my V

yeah... it really impressfirst when i got my car i didnt meant to speed in it... but when i got door 2 door with a mazdaspeed 3 hatch... i realized that this car was faster that what what i though... well now im just waiting to get my car back... its on the repair shop now hopefully ill have it back by wednesday... and will install HID at the time

Ok are you sure your on the right forum? First a 5.0 and now a mazda speed? I was acuallty looking at a mazda speed so I know some of the specs so I wanna compair the V to a speed 3 to see if this is confusing to any one else.

Mazda Speed 3:HP- 263Turbo- Yes0-60- 5.9 sec1/4 Mile- 14.2 sec

Nissan Versa:HP: 122Turbo- No0-60- 9.5 sec1/4 Mile- 17.1 sec

Boy were you ever lucky to find a parking spot between a Mustang and a Tiburon. That's about the only place you'll ever be door to door with those cars in your Versa. Seems people feel they can say just about ANYTHING in a forum and everyone will buy it. Geez.

Chelo.nismo and maddbomber, how about you dont do anything more stupid with your cars. The Versa is designed to be a roomy, moderately economical, compact daily driver, not a racer. You wanna race like an idiot and endanger other people and possibly destroy your car? Go buy a 240.....and dont do a swap. Rather have you blow up a KA than an SR or a CA.

btw, it would be your fault. You arent supposed to race any vehicle at an unsanctioned event, i.e. street racing.

the MazdaSpeed 3 is the turbocharged hatchback. AKA the Mazda 3 MPS where you are and the Mazdaspeed Axela in Japan.

first off, i didnt race on the street...it was at piedmont dragway in North Carolina.....second i did stay door to door with a 5.0 mustang, with over 100 witnesses watching, he ran a 10.9 and i ran an 11.2.....i use to want a V6 tiburon so when my buddy got one we ran them, i stayed with him until mid 4th gear......if you dont believe me fine..idc...but i know what my V will do and to be honest im proud of it....especially since my buddy's SVT Focus ran a 10 flat.....these were sanctioned events, drop jaw mag covered it, in fact there is a pic of my car racing the mustang on it....he jumped me on the line, and in mid 2nd gear i pulled beside him..... http://www.dropjawmag.com/2008...7.htm

I'm not sure what you mean by that, but I believe that the car that Chelo.Nismo was referring to is the MazdaSpeed 3 which is a 2.3 liter turbocharged hatchback. In the US, the only Mazda 3 that comes with a 2.0 liter engine is the sedan version.

well it sure was a mazdaSpeed 3... actually had the 2.3 badges on the sides... but i never said i smoked him... we was door 2 door... actually he got mine like half car of difference when we were rev up 3rd...some of the time... the real power of a car is between the steering wheel and the seat!

the normal mazda 3... those car sucks... i had a kia spectra with a couple of mods and i just got them by 3 or 4 cars!
