I used a Cartech/Bell Engineering FMU. I chose it over Vortech because Vortech copied Cartech's design. It also offers mor adjustability.

thought I posted this yesterday...

those are also great options!you mind giving some insight on its adjustments and what not?And what those adjustments do, if they work?dont be shy post the price! part of what got me the vortech unit was price, it was second hand for 20 bux, it didnt work, I spent 50 getting what I assumed was wrong, to find out it wasnt, I fixed it already and its working flawlessly but I want to tweak it some.

probably wont get to the part store till the weekend at this rate...

This is the one I had~~~http://www.bellengineering.net..._id=4

Install instructions~~~http://www.cartech.net/fmu2020instruc.htm

I liked this unit because in my case I had a lean spot when I transitioned from atmospheric to boost I was able to dial out. Also you could adjust "when" the gain in fuel pressure starts, which is nice.

I had to use a wide band & dyno to dial it in, but once done worked great.

I think I paid $259 at the time for it.

since were on the subject and im researching as we speak i tried to put everything on paper before i start my low boost set up. i found that for a 7 psi set up ill need 18.4cc added to my injectors per 1 psi of boost. which is a total of 128cc added if i go 7psi of boost. to add 128cc to my stock injectors i need to add 4.6psi to my fuel presure per pound of boost to a total of 32psi added to my stock fuel presure.so if these are correct ill need an fmu of 5:1?? lol i kno its alot of numbers but can anyone share their knoledge with me?? would these numbers change for diff. turbo size's?? thanks

I'm not sure if it depends on the turbo size, but just to be safe you should use the 8:1. There is a lot of empirical evidence supporting this setup lol, a lot of NICO members use it.

When I had this setup, I dynoed the car and it was on the rich side (low 11's) until about 5k rpm, then it went up to 12.5, which is not too healthy (lean). I had also installed the walbro though, so that might have thrown the low rpms on the rich side.

This should only be attempted with certain women, lol. I'de rather deal with a mad girl for a day or two then deal with a crashed car that I JUST turboed,

edit:sorry didn't notice how old this thread was. At least it was still from 09? lol

Ahhh, FMU's remind me so much of 2004.
