Car: 2009 Nissan Versa - Hatchback.
Intelli-Key
My trunk will not unlock at all. I have to use the emergency release on the inside of the trunk. ie, I got to reach my fat butt over my back seat and hit the manual release.
Currently both of my key FOBs are dead [I assume, they have not worked in awhile]. I know I need to bring them to the dealer for replacement.
My trunk would still open/unlock as long as the doors were unlocked.
Recently I was on a trip and I went to open the driver door which was locked. My passenger, from the outside, opened the passenger door before me and the alarm went off.
After playing around with the key & locks, I got the alarm to stop. [sucks that the key-fobs are dead at the moment].
After this happened, I could no longer get the the trunk to open from the outside.
Only way I can get it open is to climb my fat butt over the back seat and hit the manual release.
Attempts to resolve --
checked all fuses - all appear to be good. [checked under steering wheel and the ones in the engine compartment]
disconnected battery - d/c battery for 30 seconds. reconnected. still trunk wont unlock.
closed doors, but left unlocked - no trunk
kept doors open, and unlocked - no trunk
Any other ideas?
The car is still under warranty and all that - does the key fobs normally fall under warranty? If no, are they expensive?
Any help would be appreciated!
