Pretty sure 17" is too tall. I don't remember what the height of the trunk is near the back seat (I thought it was closer to 13-14"). I'd measure, but my trunk floor is custom and not at the same height as stock. If you have the car, run out and take a quick measurement of the height. If not, someone else may be able to help you out. A 15" sub will not fit well in the trunk of an Altima Coupe.

Also, welcome to NICO.

Probably no. my 12" barely fits. It touches the trunk lid because I can't slide it all the way back below the stock rear speakers. Also depending on what sub you are gonna put in there I personally would go for a ported box for a 15".

If you have completely stock trunk and want to slide it all the way in to touch the rear seat, NO. Clearance from the trunk floor to bottom of the 6" x 9" speaker baffle is about 12 3/4" or so if I remember correctly from measuring mine. I doubt you will get that thing anywhere into your trunk. I had a PowerWedge with 12"s and I could not fit it in the trunk at all. IMO only way you are getting a 15" sub into our car is gutting the trunk and custom fabbing the entire thing.

I have a 15" titanium Elcipse that required a huge box ported and have to customize a MDF and Fiberglass box to fit to the space in the trunk But I am removing the foam behind the spare wheel to use the extra wasted space- I am also thinking about mounting the spare under the car so I could have a bigger trunk space- To do the spare under the car you would have to upgrde your exhaust to dual muffler instead of the factory dual pipe.

If you need more advice I'll be glad to help out- You are not the only one that is disapponited with the trunk space or lack thereof.

Imgur works MUCH better, and is way quicker than photobucket. You don't need to make an account.

it depends if you have bose or not (i'm guessing not since its 09) but i couldn't fit my 2 12" subs into my trunk of my 2012 AC so i'm strictly limited to 10" if you want to have any sort of trunk space left

check these guys out...they do custom enclosures for AC's and will work with what sub you are exactly getting.

A little pricey for what you get but it's worth it..i'm ordering mine soon
