Sucks you have verry limited options. To be honest with you. Yes the deal is really hard to pass on with the G's right now. But if you uncomfortable in it with a short period just imagine if you have to take it every day and some long trips maybe.

If you really think the M would be good maybe you should try the 45. It is a lot more baller than the 35. Needless to say it scored 97 points on consumer reports. Most lexus scored around 90 ish. That is impressive. M35 scored 93 and G35 sedan scored 92. Infiniti is good choice right now and with all the heavily disconted prices just hard to ignore.

Also you can look into FX maybe. I wouldn't even mention the EX since it feels smaller for me than the G. FX is peppy too.

i found a deal. an audi a8 w12 new for half price! only problem is half price is 74 grand lol. that car kills me. a $150,000 car that starts with a key!

i don't really like the interior of the m35/45.

i think i know what i will do. i can rent(not lease) the g35x for $1050 a month. i know thats a lot but if i can't stand it i can bring it back any time. i really want the g35x. i am going to rent it again today for starters.

plus i can sell my acura and invest the money.

LOL

Why not just try to get the dealer to give you the G35X for a weekend. I heard it before. Just tll them what kind of trouble you haveing to pick the car. I think they will go for it. Sit in the car on Friday and go for a long tripget some rest ina motel somewhere after that trip you should be ok to make a decision.

If nothing else you can rent a car for the weekend. I would not rent it for a month tho. Too much money. But that just me.

You really got the itch for the G ha? LOL

It is hard to pass on. Really good car and really good deal.

xacura,

Welcome to Nico brother, I'm really sorry the G did not suit your body size... but maybe like zozo says, you should borrow one from the dealer to save the $$$. I'm sure they'll go for it.

Hopefully you'll have no more back problems, the G has adjustable lumber support to I think.

Let us know how you make out... the 8 way seats may take some adjusting to be really comfortable... I tried several different positions before keeping it the way it is now... also stores 2 positions in the memory for quick seating changes.

Man, I think if you could get one at 31K... 0% APR, go for it!!!!

Oh I almost forgot. The xs have diferent seats than the X. To make it more clear. The sport version of x and RWD have different seats. Lot more sportier. Some people find it not as comfortable as the basic one. Also some people have only problems with the back part of the seat. there is a bar in the middle of the back part and it feels like pushing your bone. Not everybody thinks it is bad. But if you think that is bad you have 2 options. You can just get the thing removed from your seat or swap seats with somebody. When I drove the XS I wasn't to hapy with those seats. But again maybe it is just me. Make sure you try both X and xs. Also the sunroof version of the G have just a little more than an inch less heardroom. Just to make sure you aware of all the impacts.

As Grant says I love the seats in the G. Also cool feature you can set up both keyfobs for the different setting. Like I did. My wife is shorter and she had her fob set to memory 2 and mine is memry one. So when I get in the car it goes to memory 1. But when my wife gets in it goes to memory 2 automatically.

its about 24 extra horsepower. for the 10k you save, you could turbo the g35 and it would put 400 down. but i digress, go for an 07 g35x - that is the true bargain.

there is an even better gt-r sitting here. it has a carbon fiber body and extra horsepower. i kind of doubt i am going to fit in that car. plus the standard gt-r is $100k and the tuned one is $170k. the g35x is $31k lol.

i rented a g35x today. i can keep it as long as i like and bring it back anytime. only downside is that renting is more expensive than owning. it is small for me but it isn't causing me pain.

when i buy maybe i'll get an '09 m35 or gs350. i think cadillac is great but i have heard very bad things about them. i don't know if that is true. they seem to be giving away audi's. technically audi's are behind the times i think. hmm. choices.

i take it the g35x is called a "compact" car? i guess i need a midsize car to be fully comfortable. meanwhile at least i can bring it back if i can't stand it.

as my nic would suggest i am done with acura. the new ones are ugly.

i just wanted to thank all you guys for the advice. i am renting a g35 for a month. i am pretty sure i will buy a g35 or g37 after i am done renting it. the fit is tight but not uncomfortable. i seem to think the m35 actually has less leg room. i don't want a big car so i'll just stuff into the g.

actually guys i am thinking of something and i didn't think it was polite to start a new thread about it.....

if i got the 6mt are there all season tires that would make it go through a wisconsin winter? i am not into performance in the summer. i just would rather not change tires.

they will almost give away a 6mt since most people are not intrested in that around here. due to the snow. i don't mind shifting but i cannot get stuck.

i figured that was worth wondering about.

thank you

If snow/ice were an issue I would go with an X.Also, I've driven sticks for over 30 years. Have had auto 4x4's and manual 4x4's. When we had both manual and auto Pathy 4x4's at one time in the drive, I took both out in the ice to compare. The Auto did much better. And it didn't have LSD like the manual. In my opinion, an auto 4x4 is much easier to control in snow/ice. Especially ice.As for the all season tires, you can check tirerack to see what is available for the sizes that come on the G.

Why go with the 6MT when you can go Auto and get the All Season tires if you don't go with the S version in either G35 or G37?

if i went 6mt i'd get the s. i am finding that midsize cars do not have larger seats only larger bodies. fullsize cars have larger seats. i will not drive a full size caddy lol. i can fit in the sport seat and i bet i'll get used to it too.

anyways, i drove the 6mt-s in the blizzard tonite and it was pretty hairy.

someone offered me a x with sport for a steal so thats probably it.

i paid for this darn rental for a month though.
