I have been wanting to add LED lighting under the dash and now I have seen 2 posts that looks like it can happen:

Then I see the topic about illuminating Kick Plates where you tap into the glove box: [illuminating-kick-plates-t563663.html"]
The Kick Plates has 3 wires and the LED has 2 wires (i believe) so one wire is the DARK GREEN maybe hot and BLACK ground?

I'm stupid can't figue out the links part, any help would be great thanks.

When I had my accord I just tapped into the dome lights so the lights only came on when the doors were open. Tapping in to the glovebox would be fine for constant on lights, although I think that would be distracting while driving. I plan to eventually do the same (taping into the dome light) with my Rogue.

Nope I took the front dome lights off and there is a computer (hard drive) like a flat IDE style set of wires will not work.

I connected mine to the light in the glove box. This way when I turn the parking lights on they go on but at the same time I can dim them with the speedometer dimmer.

From the illuminating Kick Plates post you are not tapping the wires from the glove box, it is from the Body Control Module (BCM) unit, which is behind the glove box. I don't know which wire are hot or if the black is a ground, I just went by Nissan's directions that come with the kick plates. There probably is a doc somewhere that tells what each of the wires in the BCM are.

If you want to light it up when you open the door then yes from BCM. I decided to go so they always on in the dark while driving. I might install another set from BCM for opening the doors. This way I'll get light in both conditions.

I connect mine to a switch power(on when car is on) along with a switch so I can turn it on or off anytime I want.
As for the kick plate, I believe one is ground and the other two wires are for left and right side. Since the light is independent of each other. (meaning the driver side kick plate will come on only when driver side door is open, not others, and same as passenger side)

For me the best would be when the door opens the under dash light comes on and when closed you shuts off. I have not taken the center light apart yet too see if the wiring is the same as the front will look at it soon. Other wise I still don't know how to do this LED setup.
