Looks pretty close, right?

Now the torque:

Civic SI: 139 @ 6100A/C 3.5: 258 @ 4400

Nowhere close in the straight line. The Civic's gatta wait for the vtak to kick in yo.
My grandma had more torque in her electric wheelchair than the SI...

first of all hussain. I've seen another 3.5se cvt at the track with nothing more than a nismo exhaust that was constantly running 14.5's to 14.7's at about 98mph average and he looked to be launching pretty strongly (for cvt). If you pulled a 13.9 with just the exhaust ending after your cat there must have been a hellatious wind at your back and a really nice outside temp. in normal conditions the 6mt won't even do i 13.9 and is faster all around than the cvt. i know the cvt vs. 6mt battle will go on for ever, but the fact that your making 25 to 30 whp gains from just unbolting your exhaust alone is crazy talk. possibly you had a bad read out or something. I dunno, but i do know the cvt stock won't dip 13's. sorry

word...my buddies 08 civic cost 30g's for something that has no power...

civic = light, need to rev as hard as you can to pull every inch of power out, and owners think there fast

but i still love the F'ING CLUTCH/transmission/SMOOTH SHIFT MY GOD! and it feels like a short shifter!

I thought I remember HUssain posting a drag slip with his 13.912 on it... unbolted, I think he did 14.1, 14.2, and he hit 13.9 after he got some kinf od launch tip... IDK, I thought I remembered seeing this on here a while back.. oh yeah, here it is

Thats the shifter not the transmission, but yes I agree, thats why we need a short shifter for the A/C.

where the f do you get this muffler exhaust thing from. that's all new to me. sorry I'm way old school with parts, even though I'm 24. I've been raised around classics and what not so I know very little with a lot of the new stuff. I'm not going to try to act like I know what I'm talking about when I really don't with new things. but then again I'm not that stupid either I will pretty much understand most of what people are talking about. ANYWAY'S link to this exhaust set up.

i won a trophy for consistently hitting 14.2 all night with my magnaflow muffler hooked up. i hit 14.4's stock! well, not 100% stock, i had 2.5" from the cat to the STOCK muffler (to get the kink out of the pipe) which didn't feel like any real gains. 14.5 to 14.7 with the Nismo exhaust aren't good times. either that or the humidity in texas is messing up the times or something. but ya, the link that robert posted to that thread has all the time slips and vids and everything

02, 03 maxima are 15 second cars on a good day and that's with mods like exhaust, intake, tune. i went out to the track with a bunch of guys from a maxima forum (nissans.org) last friday and even a fella with headers wasn't running much under 15's. nice cars, just not fast cars.

I have a 2.5 6 mt and raced a si 3 times back to back to back and he did take me by a nose on two runs and it seemed like he knew how to drive. For sure the 3.5 should take it.
