Hey All!

I have the information on the 2005 Beech Bend Bash!

Beech Bend is just about booked up for the year. They have 2 dates that are questionable. If they doe not get a deposit from the people who scheduled then we could get an opening.

The Details are...Total cost is $2500that covers the insurance EMS tower starter and water persons as well as track rental.

They require a $750 deposit to be paid ASAP if we can get in at all.

The only semi-open weekend dates are July-2nd and Aug 6th.

I will know in a few days if either of those will be open.

As of right now I am going to try and set this up as a All Nissan event with NICO and the Bluegrass Z Car Club. If you know of any other Nissan/Infiniti groups that would want to get in on this let me know ASAP!

If we don't get enough Nissan/Infiniti people to sign up we may have to open it up to more people.

PLEASE sign in here if you are for sure going to be able to make it and can pay the entry fee. As many people that can pay in advance would help.

We need about 80-100 cars and many spectators to make this happen.

Spread the word!

Sounds good to me. You know I'll be there. That's only a 15 minute drive for me (of course depending on how fast one drives). Party afterwards?

I'm in. I linked to the Louisville Max thread also. Do you mind if I post this on some other Nissan-related sites?

I posted threads on maxima.org and G20.net. I will let you know what kind of feedback I get. What about posting in the Midwest and Southeast forums?

Edit: The July date falls on the same weekend as a big G20 meet in VA.

Mostly wishfull thinking at this point. Those dates were paid for by the people who had 1st dibbs. I am still working on Plan B, so keep your fingers crossed.

Any possibility of moving this event to Mt. Park Dragway in Sparta (if Beech Bend doesn't work out)? Dane, give me a shout if you need any help calling places.

Edit: So far I have gotten 0 replies (14 views) from maxima.org, and minimal response from G20.net (due to the conflicting weekend with the VA meet...but 53 views). I think if Hal were to post on maxima.org when we get a finalized date, we would get a much better response from that crowd due to his rep. There are a lot of hard-core maxima drag racers in the south-east.

In all, I think if we turned this into a weekend-long meet, we could probably muster a good showing.

Yeah Scott that is an option. Most of the Louisville ppl say that Mt. Park isn't as good as BB, but if its all we got to work with.

BB seems to do OK unless the V8's are laying down tons of rubber, then its a skating rink. I never really got a chance at Clay City.

There is a park North of Cinci called Tri-state Dragway (Ross, OH). It's only 10 miles further away than BB from Louisville (per mapquest). Anyone tried there?

everyone i have talked too up here (cincy) seems to like tri-state better than edgwater, they say its a faster track. i personally have never been there though... i want to head up there when the season start this to see what its like.

If its BB or wherever ill plan on being there (probably wont race though)

What is the deal on this? I need some specific info by tomorrow afternoon if possible. I'm with the MTZC (Middle Tennessee Z Club) and we have a meeting tomorrow night and would love to have specifics to talk about if this thing is happening.
