What is the time of the event? cost to non-nico members? Is there a signup sheet or form for this event? Insurance coverage? sorry for all the questions just trying to get some more info on it. It really sounds like a sweet event and in our backyard as well.

the beech bend cost is sually 20 or 25 per card/driver if you race. less if you just spectate.

at the track I dont think anyone is insured but may be wrong (Dane?)

Your post into this thread constitutes a sign-up. and your registartion the (free) Nico membership..On Sunday the Xcross ( which is sually run by SCCA is 35 dollars entry , if prices are the same per region ( am no longer local)

This is a great event!!

Fred..

PS: Welcome to Nico..

How many passes you get to make depends on how many car are out there. I think the last time I went to BB I got 5 runs in.

I e-mailed Beech Bend for info on these events. It's $5 to get in, another $5 to run. Like jEzTeR said, the number of runs depend on the number of people that are there.

Any chance of a quick meet-up in Etown? I'd be coming from Lex on the parkway and could meet there

Yeah what we will do is call you as we get close to the E-town exit and you can jump on I65 and get into the caravan. We did that last year for a few people.

For those individuals interested in the Sunday Auto-x, the event will be held at the UPS parking lot at 750 Grade Lane, Louisville, KY 40213.

Directions:

From I-65 take the Grade Lane exit. Take Grade Lane west (towards the airport). Turn right into UPS Grade Lane lot (you will see the UPS hangar on your right).

About the hotel stuff...should we look into hotels in Louisville or BG (since it'll be midnight when Beech Bend closes)?

I have a 2nd cousin that runs a hotel right off 65 at Preston Hwy. I'll talk to him this weekend (at his brother's wedding) about what kind of rates we can get.

I'll post a new thread tomorrow (Sunday). I should have all hotel info together by Monday evening. I'm trying to play low rates against each hotel. So far I'm down to $59.99 for a double Queen room on the East End.

I'd like to hear any feed-back as to how many people would be interested in hotel accomodations for Friday or Saturday. Right now I'm looking at anywhere between 4 and 8 rooms. Please specify what days you'd be staying.
