Hey all.

I recently installed over 100 feet of Dynamat all over my Pathfinder (all 4 doors, floor, spare tire area, back gate door, etc) and I still here LOTS of road noise, mostly from the rear. Sounds like it comes from the bottom back/trunk area, like I have a door open slightly back there.

Anyone here have any advice for fixing this issue?
Could it be weather stripping possibly?
The good news is I hear ZERO rattles with my sub volume up high, but man the noise on the highway is still just brutal.

Thanks.

Given that your vehicle was assembled in 2001 and it's now 2015, I'd a have tackled the weather stripping first. Try replacing as much as possible before jumping on other possible culprits. And it should go without saying, your trying to sound proof a truck, so you're not going to get the same level of quietness you'd get if it were a Mercedes.

Thanks Rogue One.
Just curious, where should I look to purchase it, and how is it installed?
I'm fairly good at DIY's on vehicles, but not sure if glue or anything is involved...?

They won't ship to Canada anymore...anyone else know where I can get new weatherstrippings for my Pathfinder or any other things I can do to reduce noise in the rear?

Have purchased from courtesy and they were Awesome. Rob is even better and that is saying ALOT. I have ordered from him many times and he is also a wealth of information.
If the door isn't tweaked or something, I would think new weatherstripping would fix it. My hunch is the rubber's out of place and not sitting right and not creating the proper seal. Remember there's weatherstripping around the door and the window to look at.

You may be able to track it down by sitting in the back and putting your ear to the different areas of the door while someone else is driving and see where you're getting the most static.

You were right. After closer inspection the rubber on the passenger rear door along the bottom was popping out after closing it, which was hard to notice 'til now.
It looked fine all the way around after looking at it multiple times, so it was kind of hiding on me down there.

Thanks for the replies everyone, it's a big help!
