2001 nissan pathfinder 3.5 Le, got a p1320 about half month ago, and randomly misfire. But, from last week, it seems like pretty bad, temperature dropped to -20. Car starts ok, drives ok when the car is cold, every time when I drove the car over half hour, it started misfire, shaked like hell.Or after 20 mins driving, shut the car down for anywhere 5 min to an hour, start again, misfire for sure, shakes like hell.

My questions are,
1 Is that for sure ignition coil went bad? or any other possible reason(s)? If I do all 6, the problem can be solved for sure? I really don;t have the time to spend on dealership.

2 someone told me might be something wrong with my MAF sensor, if so, is that suppose to be misfire all the time, instead of just when the car warmed up?

3 how long do I looking for get all 6 coils done? for a licensed nissan mechanic.

Really appreciate for the helps.

What's the manufacturing date of your Pathfinder? I believe with the 2001.5, ignition coil issues were changed, solving some issues. Dates 01/01/2000-08/31/2000 are 2001s and 09/01/2000-06/30/2001 are 2001.5s. This topic may be of use to you.

I had P1320 and a bad misfire, replacing the coils and plugs fixed that code but the car was still dying after it warmed up. It was my MAF. I eventually found this out when I unplugged the MAF and the car didn't die when it was warm.

I am far from a mechanic but I was able to do the coils/plugs by myself. I purchased them from Partsgeek.com.
