Before anybody yells at me for posting this, I just wanna note I'm doing this for the pure "sport" of it. I just ordered one of those cheapy short shifters from egay

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...95466

I checked out the feedback people left, and so far no one bashed it, I looked at a different one couple months back but i saw people left negative feedback and said it didnt fit properly. So since it was only 30bucks shipped i decided why not and will test it out. Either way i most likely will end up buying the V2 short shifter from megan racing anyway i just wanna see how this one turns out. after it comes in and i install it i'll post pics and say how it feels and such if any one wants.

any body ever try one of these out before?

That link sure didn't work. I put some cheap a** "short shifter" in my S13 long time ago, the clips warped and popped and I pulled the entire gearshift out mid-shift... oh lord

Bolt hole is drilled in the wrong spot on one of those ebay shifters. I bought a v1 style pos and it was like $30 shipped from ebay. I used it for 4 years lol. Worked out fine however it was a different design.

It seems like you have money to spend so why do you even own a 240? You don't have to justify why you bought the short shifter, you just wanted to cheap out on it because it was a convincing price.

Next time you want to give your money away, send me an email and i'll send you my paypal address.

I actually lucked out. I've had the same shifter for a couple years now and it's been solid. And I throw pretty hard when I'm rowing the gears effing around. It's a 30 dollar investment with a 20 minute change out..why not?

woah woah calm down dude, first no i dont have a lot of money, it's why im testing this thing out, second i looked and didnt see if anyone has tried it b4 as coeur de lion pointed out he's had it and it's worked for him, i know a lot of people bash anything from ebay. i posted this so those that may not have 220 to afford a B&M short shifter could try this one out instead. no need to bash me for it

go for the ISIS v2 shifter from enjuku.

I have heard some good things about that and I plan on getting one sometime soon.

also, you get a discount for using the coupon code ISIS25

brings the cost down to 87 bucks including shipping.

This is an expensive hobby, if people expect it to be cheap, than they need to get out and find a different hobby, maybe stamp collecting or something. In a nut shell, you have to pay to play.

It does not have to be expensive. I purchased a strut brace from rotomip for less than what I would pay for the name brand. Does that mean it is not as good??? Did I cheap out? NO. In fact it is better in my opinion. What about the tension bar from Johnny Fraz. Half the price of the Nismo one. Yet I think it is a better design.Shop wisely, do research, and you can still play without having to pay.If the op wants to research this and try it, I say go for it.

I assumed people were using common sense and I already know about cheaping out on certain parts. That's not what I'm concerned about. In fact if someone ask me what kind of intake to get I just tell them to get a cheap 20$ ebay one.

ive bought stuff from that seller before, it was a steering wheel and hub adapter for my honda accord and that was years ago, i still have them marked as a favorite seller of mine because the shipping is quick and they might not have the top off the line products but alot of what they sell is pretty good concidering the price even if most of it is chinese made knock offs.

,

I can tell you right now, fitament wise..it's a bust.

You have two options. You can drill a hole in the right spot, then blam! Golden!

Or your other option is to just forget about it, make sure you mate it right, and bolt in the 5 that bolt up no problem and entirely forget the other one. I've had it for 2.5 years and did it this way. To this day I haven't had a problem.

Also read this http://www.nicoclub.com/articles.php?id=353072 . its a right up on how to install that very shifter good luck op

To fix the rattling, swap out the bushing with the one from your original shifter...

I was inspired by your shifter story and since I was doing my clutch anyway, (350z clutch with rb flywheel) I rolled the dice and did the egay shifter. As advertised , one hole did not line up and it had a crappy plastic bushing. After changing the bushing, replacing my shift boot and getting the fancy mitsubishi shift knob, It works great! I cant believe this thing was 30$. It shifts awesome. Did not even drill out the bad hole, just installed it with 5 instead of 6 bolts. The shift knob is tits. Awesome swap.

My update, I bought the egay version 2 one (43 dollar one and looks a little better than the "version 1" 30 dollar one) fitament was perfect and all bolt holes lined up and shifts great.
