If there was such thing as a $300 titanium exhaust everyone would have one. I bought my catback because it would add a nice tone. My exhaust is quiet, just the way I like it. I didn't put some loud fart can on my stock KA. My "Burger King wages" do afford real aftermarket parts. It's called saving, and not buying knockoffs because you want instant satisfaction. I'm not saying they are crap products (all the time.)Tsukiko wrote:I love my 3" ebay "knockoff". dirt cheap shipped, no aesthetic issues, no rust at all yet, going on a year and a half or so.
Yes, its a bit loud, but extremely mellow and fairly deep.
And I heartily support "knockoff" products that give these overpriced companies a run for their money. S***s ridiculous. Sorry but as someone who drives on the street the majority of the time, a $300+ titanium exhaust is silly unless you have the funds to throw around. Thats what the free market is all about.
In other words, GTFO, noob. Go spend $600 on a catback for your otherwise stock car. Oh wait... You're 17. I hope your Burger King wages can afford "real" aftermarket parts.
Its an exhaust, not a turbo or pistons or rods. The quality of the welds and and how my and my friends have sounded and lasted is well worth the 150-170 dollars we have spent. I have a full time job and make decent money, I'd much rather by a bigger turbo or better pistons and rods that make a great difference than spend 7 or 800 on an exhaust that performs the same. My crossmember is about 1.5 inches off the ground. what kind of shape do you think my exhaust is in living in arkansas. Im sure you still live at home so you dont know about managing money to pay bills and build a car on the side. Its ridiculous spending that much on an exhaust that your guna scrape everywhere once you lower your car.bigs wrote:Do eBay stores turn out cars that break world records? Why support something that doesn't deliver a host of exciting new products which lead to more and more advancements and ideas in the aftermarket world?
That's the price you pay when you slam your daily driver.zeause wrote: Its ridiculous spending that much on an exhaust that your guna scrape everywhere once you lower your car.
look i agree with you on buying quality parts but i cannot justfy buying a nice greddy or hks exhaust only to see it get thrashed, dented, and bent. an exhaust is an exhaust.bigs wrote:Do eBay stores turn out cars that break world records? really? cause ive been running mine for 3 years dents and all and no cracks, holes, or leaking gaskets.Ari G wrote:it´s ok for looks put not performance or quality and long lasting
If I had a track slut then yea, I might buy an eBay exhaust. I've had my exhaust for a year, and it still looks like new. I drive my car everyday. Daily driving should not trash your exhaust (unless of course you are slammed for no reason other than looks.)ZX88 wrote:

almost 2 years and the only leaks I've had was in the middle seam on the pipe I fabbed from the cat to the muffler. my welding skills have improved so that's no longer a problem.ZX88 wrote:

Looks, aerodynamics and a lower center of gravity are reasons to "slam" your car. for some of us, our local roads suck ***. Here in butler is ok some places, in Pittsburgh its ok in some areas and hell in others. Ohio is the worst. i don't wanna "slam" my car till I move to somewhere with nicer roads. I don't like anything hanging low off the bottom of my car. my "knock-off" exhaust managed to produce one with out hanging low so WTF is the problembigs wrote:
