Thanks for the compliments guys. No I've never done this before. I knew how to weld though but this is my first time building headers.

NICE. How much do i have to pay you to remake them so I can put them on my Q!!!

How did you build them? did you bend your own pipe or did you buy a bunch of bends and then cut them to spec...? Also, did you just use the stock flange?

just as a caution, thats exactly where my downpipe hung and I thought it wasn't that low... it got the crap dented out of it just from everyday driving (parking lot ramps, speed bumps, etc).

impressive fabrication though

Thanks for the compliments.

As far as the hanging to low, I have a big oil pan in front that should block anything from hitting my headers, HAHAHHAHA

Well I was in the air of what to do...but I guess I should just go ahead and do it. I just got an S14, needs exhaust, and I have a perfectly good Q45....
How much would you charge to make me those motor mounts and headers?
Also would I be able to retain the auto for now (the 240 is also an auto and it would be a cool "quick"(read as cheap as possible, don't want to adapt Z32 trans yet) swap...just pull KA24 and trans and install Vh and trans in it's place) or would the new mounting interfere with trans/starter mounting?
Thx for any suggestions...

I spent many weeks going over the Q45 wiring system and managed to come up with a plan on which wires should be powered up to get the system to work. I alos used the 94 downloaded manual, but found that several connectors were different colours and routed differently then my 92.
If you want I could send you a jpg of the Smartdraw plan I made up for the 450Z wiring. You can see a snap shot on my cardomain website http://www.cardomain.com/ride/563982

Water pump block off plate for electric water pump

Motor on the hoist about to go in

My first attempt at welding aluminum, dont laugh... Seriously. For remote oil filter mount

Back view

-16 AN fittings for water lines, two in, two out

Here it is back in again after powder coating and cleaning

Is that an adapter plate on the engine?

Good job with the aluminum. I have about 6 months doing aluminum and I can get it consistent when doing flat beads. Welding around things like tubing and such is tricky but a gas lens and lots of tungsten stick out help a lot.

i love your WP block off plate, do you think that you could have saved cash on fittings tho by going with a non-inline pump and just making it fit the stock location as was mentioned somewhere ^ up there?

I did this with a mig, i wish i had a tig lol. I may buy one in the next few months one I decide to fabricate the manifolds for the Individual throttle bodies.

Well, I wouldnt know where to start with that one. Some sort of cnc adapter would definitly be nescacry. These extra fittings and hose only cost me 150.00.

Its not that bad since I already have about 900.00 dollars in hose and fittings on this motor, and i still have a few to go.

I've never tried aluminum with mig. I'm used to controlling all the variables my self so it would be hard for me. It looks clean though, I didn't know migged aluminum could look like that.
