Ok so my build started off with me installing an electronic boost controller and my gauges but I dont have any pictures. Only after pics. So I'm going to start this thread now and just keep updating it when I do something new.

Tonight I started my paint work. I bought all the sanding paper and bought 1 can of flat black paint and 1 can of primer just to see how much I can cover with 1 can of each.

Car started like this this morning:

I sanded everything down and made sure every thing was smooth before I started primering. This is from when I started primering

Then I let the primer dry and wet sanded it down so it was super smooth. I then painted the black as much as I could but I knew that I was going to run out before the whole hood was done so me and my friend decided to have a little fun with the lack of paint.

This is where my car sits now:

Tomorrow I'll go out and get more paint and re-sand the black and touch it up so its a uniform color. I just ran out of paint so there are some spots that need to be touched up that will be done tomorrow.

Stay tuned, soon this car will be all black and badass.

For reference my engine looks like:

and interior:

Interior and bay look real good. Pictures of exterior are a little blurry to really see whats going on. What mods are you running?

The pictures of the interior and engine bay are done with my digital camera and the rest are with my phone. I have no idea where my camera is so I cant take pics with it.

wow i see things are coming along great ... the hood is gonna take like two and a half cans of color... but you should have been able to use one can of primer to coat the hood??? or did you??? well... take some day time pics so we could see how the paint came out

Wow, your interior looks super clean! What type of seat is on the passengers side? Almost looks like z33 but I'm not sure.

Btw, good luck on the paint, I hope it turns out well.

Yup, one can of primer and the whole hood was done, but the primer can was larger than the color can. I think I'll be able to finish the hood and front end w/ about 1.5 cans of color.

the seat is a GTS seat is what the previous owner called it. If I could find another one like that I'm gonna replace the racing seat for the driver. I want both seats like the passenger one and have regular seatbelts.

Trying to keep this as clean as possible with a body kit.

Oh yah lol. The only thing that scares the kiddies away is my huge front mount. The kids here in town who know their cars tend to not try with me. Yet people in minivans, trucks, hondas, and jeeps want to race me lol

I snagged it from ebay when I saw it. According to the guy its a rare real JDM piece. I only believe him cause I've never seen anything like it lol.

And yeah I try to keep my sigs entertaining.

So todays plan is to get the front end painted and done (up to the front quarter panels on both sides) and try to fix my front bumper.

Any ideas guys? I was thinking of going to home depot, picking up some fiberglass wonderful stuff and having some fun with it. I'm not too worried about ruining this bumper any further so I'm gonna at least try and fix it.

Ok so digitulmuse came over and decided to get like 2 inches from the car and messed it up so we had to re-primer and paint it.

This is us going down the side of the car.

We get to the back of the car.

And thats it done

Lots of sanding to do tomorrow and a few more coats.

Anyone have any ideas on how I can polish up the chrome pieces I have on my car? I want the front mount to stand out in comparison with the front end being flat black.

Take your damn taillights off when you paint. It takes 5-10 minutes tops and gives you a much cleaner result.

Nismo only makes one type of steering wheel and that ain't it. I would be shocked if you paid over $30 for the one you have.

See the Nismo engraving on the bottom spoke?

Decided to work late tonight and get some more of my car done. I sanded everything down and gave it all a fresh layer. The sides I have had painted black already are pretty much done after the next wet sand.

This is when I first got in the garage.

This is after sanding everything and primering the left side.

this is after the whole car has been painted black except the roof

Back end

I will get more pics tomorrow in the day light so you can see better. Goodnight for now guys. Tomorrow is a lot of sanding and some more coats. :P
