....and starting a new project. What's your thoughts? I really want to build a 240z to the level my S13 is. Would probably do a RB26, bolt on flares, a custom coilover setup, interior.... the whole shebang. Now is not a good time for me unless I sold the S13. However, if I wait a couple years I could probably keep the S13, buy a newer daily and a decent but stock 240z..... then start fabricating away. I figured this question would draw some good responses!

Keep The S13.

A Decent 240z Could Be Bought For Cheap.

Just Build It Up Slow, Don't Rush, You Never Know When Your Mind Might Change.

Dare I ask for pricing?

I can't really comment on whether or not you should sell... Only you really know what toys you want. Logic doesn't really come into play unless it's an issue of finances.

Do it!!! I've always had a thing for Z cars, and one built to the level of your coupe would be epic. Besides, as much as I love them, S Chassis' are just getting too "boring?" lately

Ummm... How 'bout No? Your 240 represents the pinnacle of s-chassis building to most of us. In my opinion, you should preserve it for future generations to refer back to as the most perfect example of a cleanly modified S13.

And by preserve it... I mean, build a shrine-like garage around it ala Ferris Bueller's Day Off...

Yep. It's THAT important. Save money and build the Z and one day, they can both retire together in the Broadfield's Garage of Awesomeness.

240Z's are overdone. I think the Zombie 240Z is kinda representative of that.

I think there is still potential in the older BMW's, older RWD Toyotas, that kind of thing.

I've never seen a really nice Opel GT done up.

i hate it when people say "ohh that cars overdone". its rediculous. every car out there has already been done.

i think you should get whatever car you like and start small with it, then if you still think you wanna sell the s13 then do it. your s13 is awesome. nuff said.

the 240z sounds like a sick idea but id keep the s13 only for the fact you know once you sell it you will miss the hell out of it and get another 1.

Here's another thought on the subject... I guarantee you: If somebody posted a thread asking people to list their top 5 favorite s13/s14, your car would consistantly rank in at the top of most ppl's lists.

I don't view your 240 as something to be bought and sold. The work put into it has allowed in to transcend that, IMO. Like a jewel of emmense sentimental value.

If you sell it, you'll regret it and want it back. But you will be forced to rebuild another just like it instead. It happens everytime. Why bother going through that? Just keep it.

Tough call buddy! You gotta make sure you sell it to the right buyer if you do decide to sell it...But the thought of you going to town on a Z is just too good to pass up.

if your not board with the s13. i vote keep it, and build up the funds for the 240z.

whats better than a clean rb powered 240z??

a clean rb powered 240z ANND a white ridiculously clean, reliable, fast s15 SR powered S13 also..

in other words.. both will be better than just one in the end.unless your bored with what you have that is.

strip the s13 and use it as a track car!

but in all seriousness, you would probably miss it man. i would keep it as your DD (assuming you still use it currently as one)

it's a very tough call.

cause i would imagine IF that car got put on the market it would be for NORTH of 15-25K mark (just assuming) and that is a WHOLE LOT of money for ANY S-chassis and to find someone with THAT much money that will pay for a S-chassis is going to be slim to none. so you will be sitting on selling it for along time i think.

I think why not. put the car on the market for WHAT IT WOULD TAKE for you to sell it. don't move on the price. save your cash. and if it doesn't sell get that daily you were talking about then slowly do a 240Z till the S13 sells.

Beat down, riced out, zip-tied, and generally ratty s13's are way overdone. Super clean s13's like Broadfield's? More like 1 in 244,xxx...

Keep the S13. Buy a Z.

Z's are cheap as s*** and you can just slowly build it instead of spending the money on ur S13. Your car is allready like 1000 times better than most the 240 comunity so you're at a good stopping point id say.

Probably the best point in regards to the car's true value (which includes sentiment, rarity, etc.).

Broadfield seems like a smart guy, and can probably figure out a way to make more money to get more toys for projects aside from selling the 240.

It would be difficult to get that car back after it is sold... Assuming he would want it back some day.

I would hold onto the car. It's not like it's going to go down in value (probably) as long as it stays mint.

Agreed. It's an extremely clean car and I'm sure you can get top dollar for it, but it's not like it's going to down in value. If anything it will go up, clean 240's are becoming a rarity these days.

A 240z will be sick, but do it when you can afford to have two cars.

Toby, I can tell you this: Good luck getting even a THIRD of what you have into it.

Modded cars just don't do well on the market... fact.

And whoever said S30's are "cheap" has never looked for a rust-free one to restore.

Restoration can get pricey as well, if done right. The interior plastic costs more than a used S13.

Honestly, i wouldn't sell my car and I don't think you should sell yours for the same reasons i wouldn't sell mine.

You will never get the money its worth. The end.

Don't. What if it falls into the wrong hands? What if someone like me bought it? I'm not saying I would treat it like sh** I just wouldn't be able to take as good of care of it as you do. save up and build a z, but don't sell your work of art
