I've heard of a number of instances where 3.5 A/C's have beaten G35's, well at least 2006 and earlier models... I don't think it would happen to a 2007 G35... but in any case, what does this really prove? This is almost like racing two G35's or two A/C's. It's the same engine just tuned slightly differently, and I would think that an A/C with an intake would give it those extra couple hp at the wheels that would really make it a pretty evenly matched race!prlwhitecoupe wrote:http://youtube.com/watch?v=PyWUj8kUKsM
....hmmm the dude won off the line...but I'm curious if he'd win in the quarter mile..and funny; I didn't see a green light when the A/C took off...did he get a head start?
the reason you can't see the green light is because my camera was on night mode being it was night time. if you've ever been out to the track theres a six light start. the 1st means you're close to the line. the 2nd means your exactly on the line. the third is actually the first of the go lights and the 6th is Green and go, but you can't really tell the color being cam was in night mode. notice you didn't see a red light at the bottom (which would mean an early take off foul) and our launch/reaction times were within .100 of each other which would not qualify as a head start. and about the quarter mile? i reached 82 mph to his 77 mph thru the 1/8 and was continuosly pulling away so it would have only gotten uglier for the infinity that was (so i was told) an 05 with low miles and after market dual air intakes.prlwhitecoupe wrote:http://youtube.com/watch?v=PyWUj8kUKsM

you think he had a system? i wonder why it was so one sided... i would expect a better contest from the legendary G08altima35 wrote:

Actually, you were looking at the G35 coupe with MT, the Auto Trans was rated slower at 6.1s...ACoupe wrote:An 07 G35 Coupe and the AC have similar 0-60 times (5.5 for the G, 5.7 for the AC) so it would come down to the driver if the cars were evenly matched (assuming that G is an 07).http://www.performancecarnews....Table
hmm, I thought the A/C with manual trans. was a bit quicker than the CVT...in any case, the 07 sedan has 306 hp, thus the faster time!ACoupe wrote:Even so, the 07 Coupe has more horsepower and similar torque ratings. You should race a comparable car. LOL. CVT faster than 6MT version? not happening zer...29094ACoupe wrote:Even so, the 07 Coupe has more horsepower and similar torque ratings. You should race a comparable car. The 07 manual Coupe versus the AC CVT (CVT having faster times than the AC manual, correct?).
not fair... stock vs Borla... what you thought we forgot??? loladidas2go wrote:then again those 6MT number come from professional drivers. The average everyday person doesn't shift like a R&T or C&D proffesional driver. We'll see at the meet this weekend. I will take on a Manual and see if its really that much faster.
What in the hell are those douche bags up to??prlwhitecoupe wrote:http://youtube.com/watch?v=Vg8TUSMny_4
400 vs 280 .. i would think so... how did you like the handling of your GTO. I spoke with a DTO owner, and he stated that HP on straightway was great, but the suspension was not the best, especially for cornering at high speeds... what do you think?wild willy wrote:I always wanted a G35...Then after having a GTO for 2 years...I could never own one...Just seems so underpowered for the money..My 04 GTO would destroy it
Yes but with a g35 you're paying for the quality and luxury of the car, it's the same way with the euro cars, ex, Bmw,Merc same way they offer little power for the money. While i think American cars are disposable they have always been the best for cheap power.wild willy wrote:I always wanted a G35...Then after having a GTO for 2 years...I could never own one...Just seems so underpowered for the money..My 04 GTO would destroy it
