  Dyno Sheets


Hey guys, just a thought, i think we should have a sticky of dyno runs with CA's.. just so we know how all are going and things.. so, post up your sheet, and give a few details

I'll start.. stock CA, stock ca turbo, gtr injectors, frontmount, walbro fuel pump, safc, full 3 inch and hks dump pipe and a really dodgy boost controller as you can see


So guys, please, post your sheets up !!

Mods include:

1 internally stock CA18DET

SDS EM-3F engine management system

4 MSD 72lb/hr injectors

Walbro 255lph fuel pump

Custom turbo manifold

T3/T04E stage III turbo .60 A/R and .48 exhaust housing

Custom bar and plate intercooler

Greddy Type R BOV

Blitz dual SBC boost controller and turbo timer

Oil, boost and A/F gauges

Custom axles

Complete NX2000 brake system

Nissan Maxima brake booster

Custom gear box

This run was done in January of this year.


This run was done on the same day, with the same mods, but with 20 pounds of steady boost.


This run was in January of 2004 and done with the same mods above except for the fact that the turbo was smoking, a different turbo manifold, 2 bovs, the car was run a bit hot along with the intake temps being a bit too high for me, and a set HKS 264 cams with 8.5mm lift, and boost was set at or around 13-14psi. I'll post more when I get a chance.

this computer is acting up so ill post the videos and dyno sheets later...

but give me some of your guess's of what i made power wise!!!
blitz SDC-id boost controller (not hooked up correctly tonight ) so i couldnt dial in boost like i wanted too... 13.6psi, and a 14.1psi run, i also have a nasty leak between the manifold and head so i think im loosing some spool up time .

Well, I posted mine on a thread a few months ago, but now that there is a sticky, I will repost it.

Base run on this chart is 11 psi aka "Low Boost". The Test run is at 15 psi aka "High Boost".

Mods include: 440cc injectors, Nismo FPR, 3" Megan Racing turbo-back exhaust, ARC side mount intercooler, GT28R turbo, Walbro 255 lph fuel pump, Greddy Profec B spec II, custom tune ECU (yaaay romulator), crappy spark plugs for tuning, Q45 MAF (stick to Z32 if you are smart), oh yeah, an AFE cone filter too. The engine internals top and bottom are completely stock.

This is all I can remember of the top of my head but I know I’ve missed a few things

the tune that its in at the moment is only a half tune it was tuned on 96octane pump gas and it had only 10km "6miles" on the motor when we put it on the dyno so we only took it up to 7000rpm and 18psi when i take her back im hopeing for 300rwkw @ 8500rpm and 25-26psi of boost

Well my friend told me to post...had my Ca for over a year and on my 2nd 240 in 3 years LOL so heres what i put down...with following mods :

i got my ca running ok after all the trouble i have been having with it in the last week.still not running just right.but i had a ok dyno run.i put down 159 at 10psi and 189.5 at 13.5 psi.the air/ fuel was 12 straight across.i think it will hit 200 after getting it running better.i was running old plugs and that was on 93 octane pump gas.maybe next month i will get to go back and do some more dyno runs before i get the new turbo.i will get the sheet on here later

The first run I pulled with 11psi netted me with 222whp & 176wtq

Then we did a couple more runs by increasing the boost level.
And finally, I made with 289.7whp @ 6500, 258wtq @ 5800 @ 18 psi

Before: cat back exhaust, stock boost, 80F day.

After: GT2530 turbo, 3" turbo back, DSM injectors, walbro 255, s-afc 2, greddy 10x10x4 FMIC (stock pipes), greddy vvc, and WG actuator had no pre-load, so boost came in really late. 88 F day. AFR's 10.5:1 in full boost. ecu was enriching the afr's to compensate for high IATs due to hot and humid day.

I'm taking it back after figuring out the boost problem the other day.

Here's the results from last week's dyno session that Dee and I did. The car was tuned pretty much to perfection with the car revving out at 6800 rpms due to a malfunction with the MSD and the SDS's limiter.. Imagine 8000+ RPM's.....Stay Tuned..This was the car's first dyno session EVER!

I just got back from the dyno alittle while ago, and it was pretty good. In my stupidity, I forgot about my cam gears and couldve tuned for alittle more.

These were when I just got my engine installed and broken in.
The first is stock boost, stock KAE fuelpump, T25g, crimp bend steel intercooler pipes with no BOV. on a 7mgte stock intercooler YES clutch fan, A/C, 3" downpipe and exhaust. Air filter.

The 5th run is same setup, same day but 12lbs of boost, Home depot MBC.

I love MBC.

Hi guys, this is my first post on this forum so please let me introduce myself real quick, my names Daniel and I drive an s13 Silvia. I live in Sydney, Australia.

My car has a 100% stock CA18DE engine. Because of new laws here in NSW I cant drive a turbo/supercharged car until I have my full license which is another 3 years away. So my aim is to build up a non turbo CA that everyone will admire.
The cars first dyno run was very dissapointing even for a stock non turbo, but this gives a lot of room for improvement as long as the engine isn't completely stuffed

Stock CA18DET engine, well almost! Just running 2 x standard headgasket:

382.8bhp & 326.2lbft @ HUBS or
285.45kW & 441.77Nm @ HUBS



1.7 bar on an SSA T70 (=Garrett T61 copy I believe)

Is this the highest power non-forged CA? Please let me know cos I've got more boost to spare

Well here's my dyno chart from a 2 years ago when I was learning how to use megasquirt. I was running 15 psi on a t28 turbo, megasquirt I v2.2 fuel only, stock ignition, 2.5" exhaust, 460cc injectors, FMIC, yada yada
