Had my first alignment done since lowering the car on BC Coilovers. Need camber plates, but he said it's not bad enough that I absolutely must have them. He said I could get away without having them.

Also had new tires (Michelin Primacy MXM4) installed to replace the Continental ExtremeContact DWS'. Well, so far much softer and quieter, and on initial turn in seem like they are going to break loose immediately but hold pretty good. We will see how these work for me.

And had the back end of the car raised .5" because I'm going to FL next month with 4 females and I'm sure they will pack my trunk with luggage up the wazoo so don't want to drag my rear end all the way to FL and back lol.

IlyKol,
How low did you actually lower it and how much was it off? Was it only the rear that needed camber adjustments or the front also?
Thanks!

Initially it was 2" all around. Now it's 1.5" rear and 2" front. Both front and rear were off, but I believe the number he said was -1.3. He said it should be -3. IIRC. They didn't give me a print out.

I'm still on my Michelin PIlot A/S Sport Plus's but early next year I will need to replace them and I'm curious how happy you are with the MXM4's as far as noise levels, handling, etc. I

Well, so far much softer and quieter, and on initial turn in seem like they are going to break loose immediately but hold pretty good. We will see how these work for me. They don't seem to be as 'sporty' as the DWS which is probably because of their GreenX/Low Rolling Resistance class (supposed to help fuel economy).

PartySan7, how much did the bumper run you? Just curious since this might be a better choice instead of getting the front lip for my 06...

Just installed this weekend. Leaving for the field tomorrow. I'll post more updates on my thread with a lot of info about this wireless air bag setup when we return back. Enjoy!

Got the Megan axle-back and had them mounted. Nice bump in start-up sound and under load. Getting the rest custom done this Friday. Dropping the Y-pipe in favor of a true dual with an X-Pipe

Are you keeping the secondary cats or just the primaries (on the headers)?

Keeping it as close to stock form as possible, just wider piping. Still want this car to sound normal for daily driving or longer roadtrips but have a good deep tone under WOT

Over the weekend:

Installed ProClip cell phone mount and iBolt car dock for a Galaxy Note II, hardwired STI Driver radar detector, re-installed tail lights after having them "smoked", and sealed the Xpel full vehicle wrap with Xpel sealant, topped by a coat of Meguiar's Ultimate wax.

It was a busy weekend... ...but the car looks good! :)

Was this a plug-n-play atachment? or did you have to make mods for the plug and the hose attachment to the engine?

Perhaps my stunning lack of auto repair experience might have slipped out when I typed that?
Maybe I should have typed: attach n go ? LOL
Stop laughing and tell me if you had to customize anything LOL. Oh, and for the love of Pete, tell me what the heck that plug is for on the side of the sleeve that leads to the air element.

Nope its a bolt on,no modification required. That plug is your MAF sensor. Everything took me about 1/2 hour , biggest struggle I had was attaching the hose to the pipe. Now I need to eitheir buy already made or create a heat shield.

Thanks Partsan,

I like the look and style of that mod and I assume it provides easier breathing for the engine. I also lke that the engine cover fits over it. I know I hide it well, but I'm <cough> not experienced at this sort of thing LOL.
Thanks for the info.

Completed the exhaust, true dual with an X-pipe. At startup and under loud it sounds absolutely sick. Silent in the cabin under normal cruising and on the highway. Next up, tuning it, though that'll have to wait a bit. Didn't have a chance to see it on the lift since I had errands to run but stopped in beforehand to check out the progress. Flanges added just after the cats so that it can be bolted off if I ever want to change it. Old Y-pipe and mid-pipe on the ground.

Just took a normal picture (which doesnt look quite as pleasing as the end result) with my iphone using an app called Camera+. I then applied an HDR effect to it within the same app and the outcome....well yea.

If it matters, I have an iPhone4 S so the camera on it is better quality then the Non S models.

Finally managed to get a video clip of the exhaust. It's actually much quieter inside the cabin though there is a very faint droning sound at cruise around 3k RPMs. Some quiet music and regular conversations are louder but if anything, may just get larger resonators put on.
