I have no real comment there on how much extra HP they added for my car. What I can tell you is that they seriously smoothed out the HP/torque curve such that my car pulled extremely hard all the way to 7,400rpms. Totally different than stock with the HP curve severly dropping off towards redline 6,900. With the headers it basically flattened out the curve making for a very nice long smooth pull from 3,000~7,400rpms so while some may argue that the "peak" hp did not increase I will definitely have to say the HP at 7,000 was probably 30~40 HP greater than stock because of the lack of a drop off. Take it for what its worth and look up my old dyno charts before & after and you will see the curve is almost flat for a very long time.

Now...your best & cheapest option is to just punch out the CAT's vs $2,000 for a custom set. Never heard that headers add noise/heat/leaks/rust unless of course you buy them at Walmart. With all products....by only the best and you save $$$ and headaches in the long run unless you putting it for show & quick sale to some idiot buyer. If I recall after speaking with Rex a few months ago my headers (now 3+ years old with over 30,000 miles) are doing perfect with no issues with leaks, ceramiic coating, etc...then again they cost me $2,000 and 6 weeks for the idiots to finally build them although apparently they did a decent job.
from this post, eons ago:
anyone-making-headers-for-the-g50-t254418.html

in the post his sig states 14.2 @ 100...you're there before headers, high stall etc.

not sure what happened to him - like several others rsiwicki moved on. I believe his car lives on though, sold to another board member - if my search skills are correct.

but with a trap of 101 and 4000 lbs, it shows = 322 rwhp. With 15% driveline loss, that's 378.82 at the crank...

See I don't think those calculators are accurate, I don't think they account for the time getting to peak power.. the Q launches at 2200rpm power really rolls in at 4000. If I launched at 4000 and had 100% traction I can almost guarantee this thing would see the 12s in a 1/4.

I ran almost a 102mph (100.79) at a 14.5 and 100.70 with a 14.9 lol. It's just getting into the power where I lose time, once there its moving!

And I just check 60mph on my Q with a gps and it turns out it's running to it in 4.8sec!! :dblthumb: and that is with it de-tuned some for the street with the 3" muffler on the end of my new design of my 4"y-pipe. Tonight is the 1/4 so if I can keep the car cool this thing better see mid 13s! Lol and at our track I have yet to see any new 5.0 mustang run into the 12s/ all 13-13.4s so that should tell how s*** traction is here. With the new headers that I am making it might not need to launch higher then 2200 as it has traction problems now with DRs.. but I am excited. The stock headers are 100% the reason it has a peaky power band, going to fix that! :rotfl

Good news, found a place that can make them two one piece flanges for $200 the first time because of the programing for the water jet and every set after that should only be $100 max the guy was just telling me.
I have to wait a week for them to program it and then after a final check by me I will finally be able to build some headers.

I seen them on ebay, I live in Canada so shipping is usually quite a bit. I'll check mazworxs site.

Thought I would do some fab work while I wait for the flanges.

This will be much harder then it looks. Good thing they left lots of room for headers lol.

Haha yeah I was actually thinking about that to be honest but then I loose any benefits from a Y-pipe, I still don't know if I will be going with that design yet.

not to mention losing ALL the torque, lol .. the hot rod look would be funny tho. Or do it Monster truck style, straight up outta the hood. While you're at it why not do a jacked up 4x4 Q45!? Haven't seen one of those yet...

Doesn't look as pretty as stainless but atleast mild steel doesn't crack like stainless. This the final design, not enough room to safety add the #7s full length in the engine bay so I will just make them equal up when I make the collector.

Yeah that would be a little odd to see one jacked up, I wonder how slow that would be lol-

These headers are a pain  more work then I thought originally that's for sure.

It should gain good all over the power band. Lol definitely not as nice looking as stainless, aluminized steel+ flux core wire= not pretty. But when they are wrapped it won't matter.

99cima. If you send me the email address that your old account was under (or some sort of clue that I could search by), I can dig it up, reset your password, and you can start using that.
