I am thinking of getting this protection for my 06 M35x with 38,000 miles. I am looking for comments both good or bad. I was looking at a policy from Warranty Direct, but think it might be better to stck with Infiniti.

Stick with Infiniti Elite. With third party warranties, you have to read all the terms very carefully as there are too many gotchas.

I am also looking for a good deal on the 7-year plan. Please post the quotes you are getting.

Has anyone ever inquired about a group buy of the elite plan? Say 10 of us wanted to buy the plan, they'll give us an additional 10 or 20% discount (If we buy at the end of month?)

I'm sure you could easily get a group of us together who are interested in buying the plan.

I have an Infiniti Elite Extended Warranty on both of my Infinities (I think that is the plural form of Infiniti)... So far, I've been very happy with them. But it could be that I deal with a very good dealership and I always work with the same service rep.

Whenever I bring it in, repairs are handled exactly the same as when it was under the original factory warranty. I've just about broke even with both of my vehicles as far as the cost of repairs to the cost of the warranty.

Guess we can't get that going in the next few weeks huh? The car I'm buying has 59k on it.

Buying elite warranty as a group is an intersting idea. I'd be in the "interested" category if you plan on looking into it.

I've read on this forum that people are getting the warranty for $100 over invoice which seems reasonable, I wonder how much better we actually could do?

I just emailed about 20 dealers in different states asking for quotes. I guess I'll be trying to get the best deal in the next few days.

Yes, please let us know the prices! Also see if the dealer would be interested in a group purchase of the plan and how much s/he'd be willing to lower the price?

Buy in bulk!

If we can get a 100k 72m coverage for around $2k with $0 ded. I am interested.

My source, at IOS gave me a price of $2,026 for 102k miles and 72m with $100 deductible.

A lot of the Infiniti quotes depend on how many miles you currently have on the odometer. 0-20k miles costs less than if you are in the 20k-30k bracket... and so on. Not sure how a group buy would work on that.

Also, Inifinit offers free financing for up to 18 months with 10% down on Elite plans.

Here is the first one. I've asked him to call me tomorrow regarding a group/bulk purchase. Keep in mind these are for the mileage of my car at 59500. I should get more quotes tomorrow and start negotiation.

My name is Russ Kabrins and I am a Finance Manager at Infiniti of Santa Monica. I am offering you an Infiniti Elite Extended Protection Plan Warranty and not an aftermarket one.Services include:

* Service at Authorized Infiniti Dealerships- Service is performed by Infiniti trained technicians. * Unlimited Claims- There is no limit on the number of claims for covered repairs. * Provides for the cost of genuine original equipment replacement parts- Repairs will be made using Genuine Infiniti new or remanufactured parts, or Infiniti approved parts. * Emergency Toll Free Help- If a breakdown occurs outside your area, you are covered. * Substitute transportation- If a mechanical breakdown caused by a covered component occurs, Infiniti will reimburse up to $50.00 per day and $250 per service visit. * Transferable to a new owner- If you sell your Infiniti before coverage expires, you can transfer it to a new owner. * 0% financing available for up to 12 months- You can finance the warranty for up to 12 months with 0% financing.

I wanted to show you the options that are available. You have to decide which is more important, time or miles? Let me know which way you would like to go and I can take care of the paperwork. These are the prices from the factory before I am able to offer you a discounted price.

I purchased the elite protection plan at the time of purchase of my pre-owned 2007 M45. It cost me $1750.00 and has no deductible.Though I despise my local Infiniti dealership due to my salesman I had. I wish it didn't have to be that way. Maybe things will change....I don't know.

Well here is the deal.

Most dealers will not do a group or bulk purchase.

I've found that Scottsdale Infiniti is the cheapest. For my 06 with 59k it will cost 1926.00 with 100 ded. and 2321 with a 0 ded.

Everyone the next closest was West Chester Infiniti in PA at 300 bucks over Scottsdale.

Unfortunately, no longer a Nissan or Infiniti, but continuing here at NICO!

Yup!

They are the dealership that supports NICO in their parts department too. The http://www.everythinginfiniti.com web site is run by them - Joe Tsensky at Scottsdale has been a NICO supporter for a long time now, and highly recommended.

Nothing is perfect with every purchase, but their attention to resolving the few problems that do arise is what keeps us going back to them often!

I did the Pre-Purchase inspection from my Infiniti dealer for $109 last week. They test drive the car, the mechanic went over all the systems check brake pad life, tires, hoses and battery. You get a checklist with items that you can then decide whether you want to get serviced. They also check your frame for any repairs done and let you know if there was any body work. I thought it was a good value.

I'd probably start w/ that PPI and ask them if that fee could be subtracted in whole or % off your later repair bill.

I checked out warranty direct exclusionary play based on a 06 m35 with 36,120 milesElite Plus MBI -– Exclusionary, bumper to bumper protection $ 677 - $ 3,572 deductible $ 0 $100 $200 term/miles expires on at miles 4 Years / 40,000 Miles 1/2/2013 76,190 Miles $2,782 $1,824 $1,2174 Years / 48,000 Miles 1/2/2013 84,190 Miles $3,080 $2,020 $1,3474 Years / 60,000 Miles 1/2/2013 96,190 Miles $3,572 $2,342 $1,562

what it basically would give me is a warranty from june 2010 when my factory warranty ends till 1/2/13 which is only a 2 year7 month extention for I would rather get an Infiniti warranty and I may call some of the numbers in Phoenix listed abovethe three dollar amounts on the right of the page are corresponding to the three deductible amounts that would not print correctly on the page for me.I would probably go for the 4 year 40,000 mile quote because I have a car that I use exclusively for work so my Infiniti will get less miles.

Talk to Courtney Mutema (finance manager) at Infiniti of Scottsdale, AZ, @ 480-941-0055. She offers Elite plans at $100 over cost (according to her and Joe Tsensky). She is very nice and knows what she is doing. If you are under 20k miles, you can get a 72 month, 82k miles extra extended warranty with $100 ded. for just over $2k.

And Infiniti will finance the charge for up to 18 months with 10% down for free (no credit check).

All you need to give her is you mileage, address, and VIN.

I purchase a '06 M35 in Dec. 09 from an independent dealer with 43K Miles on it. The salesman tried his best to get me to buy the aftermarket warranty he offers. I just got a quote from Courtney @ Scottsdale Infiniti and she quote me 1880.00 for 48mo/48K with 100.00 deductible. Courtney is the go to lady!

Apologies for my ignorance but is that an additional 48 mo/48k mile? Is the extended warranty good until 2/2014 or 91k miles?

I just purchased an '06 M45 with 44k miles and am considering an extended warranty.

According to Courtney, as of Dec 1st 2010 Infiniti is requiring an inspection on all vehicles prior to issuing the policy (even if you are still under original warranty). I had to do one on my M35x and paid $180 :(
But hey, I am getting a good deal on the warranty, right?

Wow that's good to know! Thanks. Did you have it inspected at a dealership?

Yes, they have an official form for the inspection. I was told Nissan dealership could do it too, but they told me to go to the Infiniti one.
