UPDATE!----ORIGINAL POST IS BELOW NEW UPDATE

Update, been about 15-20k miles and a whole boatload of new stuff since i did this, Ride is still great, loving the handling with the 20s and frame brace.

Since i did the suspension updates are:

Clear Corners
10k HID headlights
3k HID FogLights
Intake Mod
Full Sound-System (Can be found on my other thread)
Painted Underbody (about a month or 2 after suspension upgrade)
Bought 20x9 wheels
Thread-Locked Power valve screws + replaced gaskets
Bought longer stud bolts for the wheels as the rims are thicker and i felt there wasnt enough nut grabbing on the threads
Painted brake calipers red
Installed control arm frame brace
LED-Daytime Running lights

That should be it unless im forgetting some things,

anyways some pictures:

Anyways thats it for now, though by the end of the year the pathfinder might be getting a nos kit, but next thing is getting an APR ECU chip for the audi and a r1 diverter valve.

Hows everyone else been?

ORIGINAL POST BELOW

Okay installled KYB-GR2 struts, KYB gas-adjust shocks, and 2" lowering coils from 4x4parts.

I will use the other thread i made and put in some pics of the process but this is the main picture thread with the good ones.

Final thoughts: It cornered well stock and handled good, now its even better and clings to the road super well, more like im in a sports car than a pathy haha, the car doesnt have that floaty feeling it used to a little, now its like you feel the road, and steering is more responsive, also the coils are thicker and stiffer than the old ones, so over bumps or dips especially on turns your car doesnt bounce all over the place, it clings.

and another thing is, installation, much much easier than if i just replaced with oem coils, i didnt even have to compress these in the strut, the old ones took some time to compress to get out of the old struts so i could store them safely.

So overall, i recommend these to anyone out there that wants better handleing and steering on the road, along with the look, and not have your car like float on turns and scared its gonna roll. (even though stock ours are still great).

2" lowering coils, kyb-gr2 struts, and kyb gas-a-just shocks all bought from 4x4parts.com cost 772$ with shipping

Strut piston nut, etc some other things, rear shock nuts/bolts, other things, just ask if you want to know or are buying cost 184$ with shipping

total cost for suspension replacement plus 2" lowering coils = 956$, stock parts would have cost me more from courtesy or dealer.

Edit: i think im the first one on here with a lowered pathy, yay for me.

Looks awesome, nice ride height. I will look into this next summer. Im not the offroading type myself so doing this looks like a very good option.

I also like the picture of your pathy too.

nice, i like how low it sits, my goal is to own 2 R50's a lifted one and a lowered one

i wouldnt go with 20's as they will lift it right back up. I'd go with 17's or 18's maximum, to give it that nissan "mini-truckin" look. 17" polished Escalade wheels with low-pro rubber bands would look perfect !!!!

looks like a subaru forester if you blur your eyes!

yeah fueler your right about the subaru forester hahaa, and i might see how it looks without the running boards tomorrow.

and also fueler the lowering kit will make a difference even with 20;s because im going for this kinda look

to have that negative camber a little, and stock you wouldnt have that, but with the lowering kit, i guess it will look a littel "slammed"

and plus it will cling just as good on the turns, and suspension will still be stiffer much more than stock

20's wont make it higher.i thought it would make mines a bit higher and it just stayed the same. i actually feel like my rims make the wheelbase look bigger but w.ei like the car.. i didnt think i would like it but its actually nice.must feel pretty good to have the first lowered pathfinder on the forum.lol

If you just +1 the tires then you can put larger wheels on without making it sit higher. Of course, you can only +1 so many times until you're driving on rubber bands.

I mean until your tires are so thin it looks like they're rubber bands.

It should be 'many' not 'man'. Typo.

hahahahahaha, let me explain a little...

When you +1 the tire, that means you are adding one inch to the wheel diameter (going from 17" wheels to 18" wheels) and reducing the sidewall aspect ratio (making the tire profile smaller) so that the new wheels and tires are the same overall diameter as the stock wheels, this means there will be no increase in ride height.

So the larger the wheel, the lower the tire profile. The tire will eventually get extremely thin as you increase the wheel size. Kinda like rubber band thin.

Not a bad outcome, but the word "wagon" or "estate" comes to mind. Careful on steeply sloped driveways or parking lot exits...just as a word to the wise.

I don't think you will have any ill effects from lowering the PF 2", but I am curious as to what the front LCAs (lower control arms) look like. Are they more parallel to the ground or do they still sit a bit higher in the middle than the outside?

Could you take a picture of the front with LCAs as the main subject of the picture and not the entire vehicle?

Do you think these springs changed the weight carrying capacity of the PF or do you think it will remain the same. I suspect the new coils are fatter than the stock ones because there are less coils to carry the weight and your load rating is still the same. Your thoughts.

k03sport, the coils i got were thicker than the oem ones, and alot stiffer, so i suspect it has more weight carrying capacity, but i dont know for a fact,

and here just went to garage to take these for you, heres how they look.

Thanks...

The drop has put the LCAs and drive shafts just about parallel to the ground, which will aid in handling. I still wouldn't treat the lowered PF as an S2000, but definitely should feel more planted.

Let us know how things are once the springs have had a chance to settle.

Hey sorry, I have been on vacation but I still cant leave this forum.

Looks nice, I personally thought that it wouldn't look so great but thats because i think trucks should go up and cars should go down.

Do you have a hitch or ever tow anything i wonder how it would sit with a trailer on it?

your exclusive now only lowered pathy, i think you have to get rid of those step rails asap because they are useless now anyway.

Nice job, you should throw up a tutorial and add to the collection.

slickroger, yeah i towed some with it back last year and before, but its usually far and between to get mulch, topsoil, random things, i dont own a trailer, and i have a hitch, but i only put it on when i tow stuff, then after take it off.
