AHHH! The forum is slow today and I'm bored off my rocker at work. Somebody post something. Anything!

Like, why do they call it Softball when the ball is hard?Or, Do Ladybugs have tongues?Do pigeons sweat?Does Saint Peter get vacation days? If not, that would suck for him. He gets to let all these people in Heaven to party for eternity while he is stuck at the gates playing bouncer.

I'm open for anything!

Oh, BTW. I found a pic of the new $9,900 V.

Do people say that about a Pacer or a Gremlin? Boy I sure wish I had a Pinto.

...Actually, yes! the Pacer and Gremlin are both considered desirable. Yugos are another unexpected collectors car... people actually restore them!

Considered desirable by whom? I guess there is always the desire to collect something that is very rare. Rare because Gremlins, Pacers, and Yugos (especially) were total pieces of crap. Few lasted very long, most quickly ended up in junk yards and got crushed. I would expect parts to be a problem.

Here is an article on the Gremlin.

Nissan's first new $10,000 Versa customer. Talk about expanding to new demographics!

The Gremlin was actually really far ahead of it's time as far as styling. Compare it to modern compact hatch backs and you'll see a lot of parallels (minus the obvious '80s square vs 2000s round aspect).

Perhaps by the time we're all too old to drive and gasoline no longer sold at every fueling station.

Restore? Wouldn't that be "rebuild" . . . or "build from scratch with parts picked up from the side of the road"?

Too bad for me the CDN$ is tanking....even at 20k, if the rest of the car is in as great a shape as it looks, I'd be sorely tempted.

Why do they put multiple language options on ATMs like this:

--> English/Inglés--> Spanish/Español

If you can read the "English" part then you know you should use the English option. If you can read the "Espanol" part then you know you should use the Espanol option. Even though I understand what "Spanish" means I can't read Spanish so I wouldn't select it.

It should be--> English--> Español

It is like the automated voice systems that recite everything in English except for the small part spoken in Spanish where they tell you to choose "numero dos". I didn't understand any of that little part so I'm going to stay on the line until I hear what to do next.

Just my 2 pesos

There was a long, long line of spirits at the gate waiting to get into heaven. Not all these spirits could fit into heaven, so the ones who died the worst death would be allowed in.

The first man in line started telling his story, "Well, Peter, you see, I knew that my wife was cheating on me so I decided to come home early from work one day to catch them in action. I got home and searched all over but could not find him. Then when I walked out onto the balcony, there he was dangling off the darn thing by his fingertips. So I ran and got a hammer then started beating him with it and he fell. Well, the fall didn''t kill him, because he landed in a bush so I picked up the refrigerator and threw it on him. Although that killed him, the strain gave me a heart attack, and here I am."

The next man came up and started his story. "St. Peter, I always work out on my balcony on the 14th floor of my apartment building. I was on my bike one day and I fell off when it flipped. I sailed over the rail and I thought ''''Please God spare my life'''' and he did. I caught on to a balcony below me. I was even happier when a man discovered me hanging there. But all of a sudden he started beating my hands with a hammer so I fell again. But the dear Lord saved me again when I landed in a bush. But I'm here now because the guy threw his refrigerator on top of me."

It was now the third guy''s turn to start his story. "Well, Peter, just picture this. I''m hiding butt naked in this married chick''''s refrigerator....."

Knightro,

Its a slow day at work for me to soooo.....

Like, why do they call it Softball when the ball is hard? I have no idea but have you ever been hit by one cause theyre not soft

Or, Do Ladybugs have tongues? Im sure they do but since theyre ladies they only use them when theyre drunk

Do pigeons sweat? I honestly have no smartass comment for this one

Does Saint Peter get vacation days? If not, that would suck for him. He gets to let all these people in Heaven to party for eternity while he is stuck at the gates playing bouncer. Its heaven he doesnt need a vacation. Hes probably got an easy chair and a beer with goggles that make everyone look like victioria secret models
