no i didnt drill into the rockers. basically I just screwed them in at the front fender, cliped them at the back and to hold the two pieces together i drilled a hole at the bottom of each skirt and zip tie them together. I sealed them to the body with double sided tape.

Awsome thanks for covering that. Are they stable though? I mean on the pics they look great but are they flush with the body, flapping around? Sorry for all the Q's I got mine too and am kind of horrified at drilling through the rockers.

they are secured pretty well and they sit pretty flush with the body. but if you want it to be 100% perfect fitment you will want to secure them somehow to the rocker panel. I just didn't feel like putting holes in the rocker.

ill get pics later.

SUMMER OF 09 finnally time to install my type x stuff.

I had most of my type x aero sitting in my basment for about 3-4 months and now that the weather was getting warmer and school was ending i headed back home to jersey.

along with this waiting for me at home was this prettry peice of fence post welded togther by enjunku.hahahaa

isis pre production i guess duel straight pipe exhaust.

Dart izumi jr FTW

......

install was straight forward. Fitment was good. the exhaust sat a little low near the differental so it took some hose clamps to the hangers and it actually raised it about 3/4 of a inch.

good.

so i decided to next lower the car more to get rid of any wheel gap I had in the front. at this time i also relocated both fender harnesses and rolled both front fenders flat.maxed out the front coils

Hot. It is incredibly rare to see a S13 in such immaculate shape up there in the north, as you call it.

so this summer it rained like crazy. it was ridiculous. I was ready to go to with painting my parts but it was crazy humid.

finally i got a break with the weather.

and the tear down for preping the type x aero was started.

i got a brand spanking new type x bumper and fender extensions

sick

ok soo....

like my ghetto lift. yeah me niether.

so the first time i painted the front bumper it came out like s***. for some reason i preped it wrong or it was too hot or hummid when i sprayed the paint never fully cured and would chip and peel very easily. so i drove it and it looked like pure s*** so i needed to redo it.

what a waste

here are some pics from the first time i painted to bumper,

as you can see the paint looked like s*** so i needed to respray it.

well next i bought used rear valences and a wing for a total of 220 for BOTH

rad

ew looks like s***.

here is a cool guy pic from filling up at the gas station lol

and got some dmax lights

with all the pieces on i noticed two things the car was missing exterior wise.

good paint....

and the type x lip.

since the lip was now discontinued i could not find a oem one without having to pay 400+

so i found this company modiride who made a frp replica for 175+shipping.

so i bought it.. and a month later after countless calls and s***ty customer service on modirides parts i recieved lip in one piece.

trew it on there

fitment was great.

repainted every thing and left the wing off for now i need to fill the holes fron the factory spoiler.

here are some pics from the day i had everything on minus the wing with fresh paint on the lip and front bumper.

And at D1 at e-town. my buddy steves imported mr2 and some guys skyline.

and well about a week after that i ran over my lip and cracked it in two.

so i fixed it.

well more to come soon.... interior segment part 2

ya cops pulled me over way too much when i was running my 15s with -5 camber out back and scraping everything. i learned to just pull over and give them some space
