So parts update.

Well when i when to install my 300zx brakes at my buddies shop we found out in about 2 seconds that my front hubs are warped and not balanced.

This is probably due to the fact that I just re drilled the 4 lug oem hub. So i ordered some ichiba hubs.

Second my clutch pedal is not consistent sometimes the feels really good other times its hands or feels like there is not enough pressure,

So I ordered a nismo one from west cova nissan. the hubs arrived tonight and the warped hubs were definitely the issue the rotors sit nice now.

cant wait to install everything and test them out. and do some sliding.

On an other note I picked up a new DD wich ive already finnished. lol

2004 acura Tl( this car is f*** baller)

First things I bought were blackworks racing coilovers ( pretty bean)

and an type x kit ( oh i mean aspec kit) for cheap

I took the works I had and the spacers and installed everything.

I think it look good for 1 month of ownership. I know the rear is Hector Flush but it will be fixed.

I saw those floor mats on ebay, they look nice. My next purchase. Did you have to trim them to fit right?

Hey guys, I heard there was car p0rn here?

I'm digging the front bumper cutout. It makes the type x front stand out from the plethora of other type x's.

so ive been trying to get this thing ready for the up coming clubloose night moves.

Its finnally almost finished.

After so many set backs with my z brakes.

1. getting 26mm front rotors when i was told they were 30mm
2. ordering the wrong rotors
3. having to order more rotors
4. loosing brake pad pins and clip
5. busted brake line

ITS DONE

just bled the brakes and it all feels good.

Also while I was down there I replaced my leaky worn out clutch slave with a nice new nismo one thanks to west cova nissan.

All i can say if the car drives so nice with this new cyliner. I can actually power over without the clutch slipping and the pedal response is great.

here are some pics from the weeked

Image

oh yeah i replaced my redrilled 4 lug hubs with brand new conversion hubs.
Image

set up

26mm 300zx calipers
hawk pads
agency power steel lines
88 rotors well cross drilled and slotted rotors. ( I will always buy brakes from these guys 2 days and there at your door. so great)

So its been a while since ive been on nico.

Since that time. the car saw its first real track time.

Took the car out to night moves down at english town and did some drifting.

The car felt pretty good for the first few runs then out of no where the clutch started to slip as soon as I hit boost.

I dont know what it is but my car has always had clutch problems.

I of the things I can think of is that the its a combination of the aluminum flywheel not being able to take the heat and the master cylinder s*** out....

When the clutch griped it felt pretty good and the track layout was pretty fun and basic.

It had been raining all week and all day but it ended up drying up. Not to many people came out which was okay cause i was able to get alot of seat time.

Image

THe day after I brought the car to my buddy steve over at kova built to finally work on these yamato garage arms.

These things went in with no problems and I am very impressed with them.

here are some picks
Front traction arms ( caster) just over stock at 7*

GLITTER TOWN USA

We also Started on the rear 300zx brakes.

Let me tell you. These are a b****.

Ive had so many problems with these little f*** makes me wish i just stayed stock.

Well if you dont run 300zx hubs in the rear the ebrake mounting piece wont sit right and allow the brake pads for the drum to sit right. easily fixed to the right clearance via 2 3/4 spacers.

great everything in dandy now right?

nope

Calipers wont clear the brake shield..... ok trimmed and fix

ok well lets work on the cables. I was told to run 300zx 2+2 cables because they where supposedly the only ones long enough.

I dont know whats going on but they are too long. Has anyone else had this problem?

Well lets put the steel lines in. ok never mind the brake line just snapped....

Well anyways the brakes are pretty much done

Image

just need to fit the brake line and find out why my e brake cable is too long...

well until next time

the 2+2 cable are the one you needed but u need to make a adaptor piece to bolt it on in the tunnel

like these
z32-to-s13-e-brake-cable-adapters-t369266.html

i made mine by using 1/4 steel and 2 holes so it not as stright as this guy making them

or it sounds like you snaked them through the subframe as people do for the non 2+2 ones. I got my non 2+2 ones on by snaking them through the subframe. Its weird you had problems with the backing plate hitting the caliper and a problem with the drum shoes. I didnt have the same problem tho i hear there was a difference in the gold anchor bolt between z32 models... might have to look into that

EDIT: picture, mine looked like the one on the right

not wrong, just for people with the 2+2 they usually go over the subframe and find a way to mount the cables to the stock spots or using the overpriced metal slab adapters ( )
