Just got a 240sx for my lill bro. he started being stupid so i kept it. But had issues and tried to sell but people are flakes or cant read description. Has rod knock by the looks of it and front right frame damage. I have ALL the tools (thanks dad) so im gonna have fun and maybe manufacture parts to sell. Here my project!!!!

Well to start if off i started chistling away the tar and using a metal brush to clear remove rust spot and see the damage

Starting griding down the rust
Image
Was starting to rain so i just put a primer coat for the day and start all over again tommorow and maybe weld a patch on the hole

ya got some work! im jealous of that bridgeport mill you have access to! its odd not to see one that is that bridgeport grey/green.

+1 but in the back it looks like a normal vertical drill press. anyways i would love to be in your family or maybe have access to that milling machine. now only if i can afford one and get my hands on a few end mills, drill bits, blue prints on various parts, stock, and i would have a blast! :D

Better give the front shock towers some attention before the separate from the chassis.

ya the z kinda threw me off, but atleast your doing the necessary repairs first.... like that RUST!!! looks good so far though

Well the z stands for first letter of my last name and also thinking of putting a 240z front hehe. Ill try to update you guys what im eventually gonna do with my spare time. Majority if produce many parts for the 240sx to use in both my cars and sell like fender braces and roll cages for cheap and i mean cheap but good quality.

Stripping that deadener and tar was by far the worst part when I redid my interior. Dry ice did help somewhat but no matter what technique you use, it'll require some elbow grease.

try ice then heat it with a torch. It flys right off. lol

Sry for not having up dates but this is what has been happening.
Fixing a buddys MR2.
Looked at the engine and transmission and we thought we had rod knock but it was a problem with the transmission. Yay!
Got a rhd clip and found out the legal status of the RHD conversion and looks like it is legal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BTW needed to buy a clip for the front right damage and picked it up for 80 with dash and big brakes and bumper hehehe but heres pics so far

Yes been awhile. years i guess but heres whats happening with the car. Tried to give my 2 bros the car they didnt want so screw it. one got a s12 (out of commision) and other doesnt have a car. Fam got tired of it laying there doing nothing and GF needs a car So finally working back on the car. Ill try to reply when i can since im a full time student/worker and just work on the car whenever i can.
